  1. Fund Tim Schafer's next game YOURSELF!

For what it's worth, I don't think there are many games with great dialogue either. The best-written games I know of from last year both featured genuinely great writing (meaning that they were both the best and, on an absolute scale, very well-written), but both were delivered in monologues: Portal 2 and Bastion. Edit: although, come to think about it, Portal 2 had some dialogue (like ). Too much of it was in cutscenes, though.

So now that everything is back to normal... I made the girl cry today. Yes. They were tears of laughter. I'm doin' all right, I think.

Yeesh guys. Chill. I'll delete the stupid joke, even though I put a disclaimer on there. Funny how this started with me pumping my fist about a girl, though.

I hate them too. I used to teach orphaned children English back in 2006, but some of those kids had parents who were still alive - they were just abusive, so the government decided to take the kids to therapy and then have them live with the orphaned kids. The experience is a changing one. That said, I can still laugh at rape jokes if they're particularly funny, but I wouldn't tell any myself and I do disapprove of them. All right! It was just the one time, though.

[stupid unfunny rape joke that created dumb discussion removed by Kroms.]
  6. Gifts - Stuff for Free

I tried taking brkl's Zombie Shooter 2, since it's been sitting there for a while now, but someone's already nabbed it. I went with the original. Thanks, brkl!

    Haha, yes.

Subbes wins the Creepiest Comment of the Year Award. (But I laughed.)

The girl I like says I am very cute, that I rock and that I am awesome. We danced today. My friends all think she's into me too. ...yay.
  10. Life

Apparently I had nothing to feel embarrassed about. She thinks it was cute and there have been tiny hints of sparks lately. Count on me to feel awkward about myself in a situation there's nothing to feel awkward about.
  11. The Wire

I started season four of The Wire yesterday. I have to admit that I am very impressed with the point they chose to focus on for this season. The two episodes I saw are among the finest the series has put out, and it's not exactly short on fineness, you know?

"Chai" is Arabic for tea. To me, it sounds like you're drinking "tea tea". Don't say that out loud if you don't want to get weird looks. </immature comment>
  13. Books, books, books...

I haven't, but I'd go for a standalone if I was in your shoes.
  14. Backlog Busters

As far as I know, yes.
  15. Backlog Busters

Yeah, I found that out recently. Apparently Immortal Throne also "spices up" the original game, but as far as I can tell it just makes it "darker".
  16. Backlog Busters

This post made me list all my RPGs. I have a fairly big list, and you know what? I'll still play them all, and there is a high chance I'll beat them all too. It'll take me a decade or two, but I don't care. I still have a pile I want to get and play. I've listed them in this .txt file for your convenience. Kroms's RPGs 18-02-2012.txt

Alas: 1. They don't sell PSN cards here. 2. My PS3 is dead and Sony refuses to fix it. I bought it in Canada and Jordan is a PAL region. I might buy another if it gets cheap enough, though.

I feel like I miss out on a lot by not having a DS or Wii, because I haven't even started playing the N64 stuff. It's part of why I wish I lived somewhere in Europe or NA, as trying to go the Nintendo route here is simply not worth the hassle of shipping stuff over. I had a hard enough time with PS1 games. I've developed a thing for difficult games lately. Not adventure game dream logic hard, but stuff like what Demon's Souls sounds like, where it's always your fault for losing. I need to get around to buying that.
  19. Movie/TV recommendations

I distinctly remember finding it boring when I was 10 or 11. I just checked on Youtube, and it's still very off-the-mark for me. The annoying lightsaber bvvv bvvv effect make it sound like a fight between angry bees. But that's just me.

Subbes! No, my earlier comment is something unrelated to Valentine's Day. I used to be fairly terrified of sex (I'd go pale in bio class and stuff), then got comfortable with it and now it amuses me. On the other hand, you can get a shitload of reading done.
  21. Broken Sword 5: Legacy of The Something

Nah, I mean I wish their games were less buggy and more consistent. Even their great games - Tales, The Devil's Playhouse and Sam and Max Season Two - drag in places they shouldn't (TMI and S2 in the beginning, TDP in the middle; I think the first episode of that one is the best). They also have two really good games - Strong Bad and Puzzle Agent (haven't played the second yet, though) - and they both have slight problems that prevented them from eternal greatness. Their other stuff varies.
  22. Broken Sword 5: Legacy of The Something

I've known that Charles Cecil's been working on a 2D Broken Sword game for a few months now, actually. He broke it in an interview with some obscure site. As for adventure games: yayness, and I hope this gets TTG to up their game a bit.

Woah, how long did each take you? That's quite an achievement. Did you use a guide at all? FFII's leveling system is legendary. Read up, peoples.

Oh man, I hadn't even worked condoms or socks into the equation. And beds. The more I think about sex, the more funny it is. And oh man, I'm going to die alone. But I'll probably die laughing.

Something that's been on my mind lately: if you think about it, kissing is pretty funny, right? I mean, if you just think of it as an action, and then try and take the feelings associated with that action, it's pretty funny. If you got the feelings you get when kissing someone, and were told to try and match those feelings with one action from a list of actions, and, say, you were an alien with no understanding of human emotion, you wouldn't immediately associate those feelings with the act of putting your lips on something and applying a little pressure; this is ignoring the tongue bit, or anything similar. And sex is, if you think about it, the art of making someone feel a certain kind of pleasure by understanding how applying certain pressure to certain areas in a specific way, all while saying certain words, with, maybe, the proper mood and lighting, can make them release certain fluids in a way they find relieving. And that's the tender stuff; in actual fucking, all you're doing is slamming one bit against another, switching things when necessary and doing a lot of kissing and grabbing. All of this eventually leads to moaning that stems from equal parts sweet pain and fulfilled desire. So why don't feel laugh? I mean, think about it. Sex is one of the most hilarious things in existence. I know I'm mature. I know I'm an adult. But man, lately I have been unable to hold in my laughing. I haven't even been able to kiss someone on the cheek because of this. I think about how ridiculous it is for one second and I immediately double-up. I remember how people look like doing it and I absolutely lose it. I need to get the idea out of my head, but surely I can't be the only one who has ever thought that sex and kissing are funny?
