No; BSG had balls--particularly the first couple of series' (and the 4-part mini prequel). I'd still recommend the core BSG series, definitely. If nothing else, at least try the 4-parter and then see what you think. The first part of series 1 proper, though - '33' - still sticks in my mind as some of the best TV ever.

Watched it last night--it's complete arse.

Grand Thumb Auto XXIII: Hilarious Name

Yeah, that RPG match in the refinery was properly hectic! Good fun though--especially those amazing long-range kills. They're almost like slo-mo. -

Very important difference. I'd like to stick with vanilla again--last week was so much more fun than the week before IMHO. If anything, I think TLAD ultimately takes away more than it brings. And haring around after random bikes or the Lone Wolf hasn't been all that fun I think. Just my $0.02-worth... begin pelting me with rotten vegetables and horse excrement now! -
Less comical, more jaw-droppical: Z19zFlPah-o I'd have given anything to ride that well when I was trials riding back in the 90s... NB: The superb music is The Funeral by Band of Horses btw.

That's the sort of thing we used to muck around with when I was studying film production at Uni. That's easily the best example I've seen in a very long time, though. Brilliant, inspired stuff.

Oh, shit... Her stupid face has made Monday better already. -
So... anyone played it? I downloaded the demo last week on Xbox LUBE, but haven't fired it up as yet.

Wonderfully expressive. Bizarre yet brilliant.

More topical terrifying fan-made equivalent of yiffing scat porn video goodness: fb50GMmY5nk Fairly sure this had been linked to on Thumbs before, but never embedded in all it's glory.

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

As much as I despise listening to any album deemed mainstream enough to warrant a full-on TV campaign, I can't get the opening track from Ladyhawke's new album out of my branes... xy3t6dDyXHg If you liked New Young Pony Club (which I did), you'll probably like this album too. -
In a somewhat similar vein, bow before the musical troll-master himself! G3SMB-YQ56s

"You know that thing you thought you heard hiding under your bed? It was this game... and it's not hiding any more." -IGN.com Clearly out of ideas. I should probably back away quietly from this thread.

...grim. I can't think of any standout personal favourites, but I found a blog dedicated to game glitches.

Grand Thumb Auto XXI: Roamin' Numerals

I was utterly horrible this week; not fun. -
I never played Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory properly myself, as I don't like playing team games with people I don't know. Relaunching WET in a community portal like the Quake Live platform could be ace, though.

I haven't logged in since it went more public and had all the recurring server issues for those first few days. They also still seem to be having some (understandable) teething troubles, so I've been waiting for things to calm down again - and the ranking/tiering system to be further tuned - before trying again.

infovore pointed me at this a few weeks ago, and it's just unexpectedly popped up on one of my favourite podcasts. It's lost none of it's impact in the intervening time -- just make sure you listen to the end... Mq5GdutCRo8 -

Best evening's gaming in recent memory. Just brilliant, especially with the balance of power shifting so subtly from moment to moment. I think even IGN.com would struggle to overstate how much fun we had. Huge thanks to everyone who turned up - definitely a game to remember!

Don't forget that it's only(?) the UK that typically has a kill switch for each domestic electricity socket. I think flipping the switch should kill the circuit completely, meaning you don't get any power leak.
