But yes: it's singular (see earlier logo).

And watches.

...so you're not in fact discussing that laughably abysmal late 80's game show, hosted by (the one and only) Jeremy Beadle, entitled Chain Letters? For shame. (That's an "evil" RealMedia link btw.) The theme tune for that show was so poorly recorded, that - rather amusingly - if you weren't in the same room as the TV, it sounded like a bunch of people singing, "Whoa, whoa, whoa -- trained lettuce!"
-
It's been given an approximate 6 month launch window, beginning with when the console goes on sale being the earliest date. Nice logo, too!

Intrigued? Yes. Excited? Not yet. I've never been a huge fan of Mario platform games in the past, but I was surprised at just how much Mario 64 DS drew me in. So I’m undecided regarding Mario Galaxies at this point in time. I just hope we get to grab Koopa by the tail again, but this time you swing him around by swinging the Wiimote around above your head – that would be brilliant fun. (Bit of rumble to let you know when you were losing your grip/momentum and it'd be gaming perfection!) YouTube’s been down every time I’ve tried to access it over the last few days, so I can’t watch those gameplay examples right now either.

Oh hell no. But I'm of the mind to give everyone a fair chance to get their point across. Some people take longer than others, but I've finally decided that Jack Thompson doesn't have anything valuable to say -- he's just the perpetual Witchfinder General of the games industry, and does so almost completely without merit in the majority of cases.

Surprise, surprise; he's already been defeated. Two days ago in fact, on Friday the 13th! He's also had his emergency counter-action plans crushed mercilessly as well. I think he's starting to annoy more people than he's actually appealing to. His desperation is also now all too apparent: Because violence of any kind never, ever happened before video games were invented, did it? And with you covering all your bases with such small-minded, hugely wide reaching claims, you'll always be able to prove yourself right no matter what the circumstance. Kindly fuck off and lick your wounds in private, you complete waste of sperm.

If the series continues in this vain for another 3-4 episodes, Moos, then I might be inclined to agree with what you've said. What's going to be key is when the two groups - Galacticans and New Capricans - collide again and all the fallout that holds in promise. So, next episode (#4) onwards I'm thinking. I also reckon that if you thought the first couple of episodes made for difficult viewing, you ain't seen nuthin' yet...

Well, for me, that was superb -- but I always enjoy the "peopley" ones anyway. The way in which BSG continues to observe and document the ever-shifting subtleties of the (un)human condition remains the strongest aspect of the series IMHO. Quite brilliant.

I used to be like that. But since every mobile phone I've ever owned has been able to tell the time, I simply don't bother any more. Except on special occaisions, which require a little bling-bling. The cuff links usually come out then too.

Excellent -- I plan to watch it in a matter of moments...

I'll just come right out and say it: I've never played a Final Fantasy game. They just haven't ever really appealed to me. I watched a friend get really obsessive about FFVII when that came out for PC, but just couldn't see the draw myself. I've played plenty of other turn-based 2D Japanese RPGs though -- Chrono Trigger being about the pinnacle (for me). However, for some reason I'm getting really excited about the Nintendo DS rerelease of Final Fantasy III. Maybe it's the art style, maybe it's the spiffy new 3D graphics, maybe it's my near-complete frustration with a lot of other, more mainstream game genres on the market at the moment. But something about that game really gets the juices flowing. Anyone else feeling it... or am I just weird?

No -- I just refuse to shovel other people's shit, that's all.

Using my high-tech machines just now - all one of them - I did a bit more idiot sleuthing and got approximately 65,000 results for "kthxbai". Google also helpfully pointed out that this gimmick's more commonly/correctly phrased as "kthxbye" too, which in turn produces approximately 275,000 results. I would imagine that if you accounted for however many other disambiguations there are of this one phrase, the results would creep up again -- probably towards the half-million mark. So yeah, the code's about as uncrackable as the story is believable... :ponycrap:
-
Funny, that was a load of shit too -- mere coincidence, or is something darker at work..?
-
Doing a bit of idiot sleuthing, I Google'd for both "trent boozle" (the article's author) and "felicia reven" (lead detective). Bet you can't guess how many results there were for each search term...

I hope they were well-paid for that little nugget... Wait, does that mean we'll get Wii titles free in our breakfast cereal then?!!
-
I'm really hoping they're in for a big shock, when they discover the game's actually about beating* the bullies -- not becoming one. And everyone's favourite Jack will end up looking like the prize-winning cock we've always affectionately known him to be. Only this time, it'll be in front of a courtroom full of stuffy lawyers and scandal-hungry rag writers. Say, "cheese," JT... * Not in the GTA sense, mind.

Notice the spineless shit at The Age (who did the interview) neglected to ask Mr. Ephraim what he thought of his company's next-gen price point. And besides; this is - typically - all out of context. Sony were comparing the PlayStation 2 to both Microsoft and Nintendo's latest offerings this winter, saying that the Sony machine is much better value. Which, arguably, it is*. Idiots galore today, so it would seem... * There's no way I'd buy one 1st-hand, though.

Yeah, I read about this yesterday. Very disappointing. Things aren't going very well in TV land at the moment it seems...
-
Sounds like the developers have worked hard to make the jobs system much more worthwhile throughout the game.
-
Quite the collection of illiterate 'bum-tongues' you've found there, Yuf -- congrats! Maybe once we've got them all herded into that room you speak of, we can then each take turns with the Idle Flamethrower?

Kameo: Elements of Power? More like...Excrements of...oh, forget it.

Oh yeah! I'd forgotten about that -- quality. That big green croccy does it for me every time, personally... Can't wait to see this in action. There are supposed to be wind effects in the game too, which causes all that crepe paper to rustle, billow and sway like a field of corn. I think I'd have to gouge my eyes out after seeing that. -
CliffyB's firm-yet-excitable breasts. Great on-topic post btw.
