  1. Photoshop competition!!11onetwo

    Absolutely. Budvar is great.
  2. Photoshop competition!!11onetwo

Conversely: would you want to drink another man's piss all day long, every day, all year?
  3. The Played Podcast

Listening?! Dude, I'm in the current episode.
  4. omg P!nk...

Putting all her faith behind a new constipation remedy..? Still, she's an absolute fox.
  5. Slim PS2 now £69!!!

Interesting; would you be able to use a UK-spec machine in Finland?
  6. Slim PS2 now £69!!!

Unfortunately: that recent Xbox 360 purchase hit my wallet for massive damage, I'm looking at moving house very soon, I've no space to squeeze in a PS2 anywhere at the moment anyway (even a skinny one). Maybe later in the year I'll get one though. A friend at work has been taunting me with his recent purchase of God Hand, which I'm bursting to play. (He's offered to lend me his system short-term though, which is cool.)
  7. Mmmmmm. Warm Goat entrails...

Sony to conduct internal inquiry following dead goat incident: Could you promptly fire all your shithead PR people as a result, please? Especially seeing as you're having a clearout of Sony corporate glue-sniffers at the moment anyway. Always best to do your spring cleaning thoroughly.
  8. Get BG&E for free!

Yep, you're not seeing things; you can get a copy of Beyond Good & Evil (PC) for free! Just pay £2.99 for the postage--bargain.
  9. Mmmmmm. Warm Goat entrails...

    Especially with chips.
  10. We all know that the standard HD resolutions are 1280×720 and 1920×1080. With this (and budget constraints) in mind, why is it then that so many manufacturers create units with bizarre/stupid halfway house alternatives that are either slightly under or slightly over standard HD resolutions. Why are they doing this? "Yes, we're going HD - through stretched and smeary upscaling!" Genius, but you're not having my money. Also, why - why - do so many displays come in the useful-to-no-one 16:10 aspect ratio, instead of the accepted and most widely used 16:9 widescreen format?! What, the public not only wants smeary HD, they also want rectangular pixels too??! Aaargh! Someone please explain; I've been unsuccessful in getting anything like a reasonable answer regarding these issues so far.
  11. The age of Krazy Ken is over

It's been a bloody long time coming if you ask me. I'm sad to see him go, but I'm more depressed to see that corporate sock puppet Kaz Hirai being promoted in his place. Sony just got boring.
  12. Tim Schafer

Right, I mean the catalyst for posting that sentiment in here. Which would appear to be seemingly out of the blue to my uninformed mind. Speaking in plain English: has Tim just revealed a whizzy new project or something?
  13. Tim Schafer

Forgive my ignorance but what's drawn you to that conclusion, specifically?
  14. "fun" games on 360

I was intrigued with Bullet Witch, just because the title suggested something a little different and quirky. I've since heard a lot of people slag it off, but it may be that they've missed the point of the game. If the control system's robust enough, it sounds like it could be a fun game to play.
  15. Pokémon Diamond / Pearl

For whatever reason, I find Munchlax to be even wronger... ...but, fuck! Just flicking through the official website makes me really want to play this game!
  16. Pokémon Diamond / Pearl

You do intend to lighten up one day, don't you? I mean, FFS... I have to ask myself why you even bother switching any console on at all some times. Makes me feel kind of sorry for you, toblix, because I don't think you're giving many games a fighting chance. Games like... Pokémon. It's a wierd game in that it brings out the obsessive-compulsive cleptomaniac in pretty much everyone. It's not something you can easily describe, because Pokémon is something you need to sit down and sink time into. A lot of time in fact, before it finally "clicks". And when it does finally click, I defy anyone not to obsess about the game. I've not fiddled with any Pokemans since Blue on the original Game Boy years ago, but I played that one for hours upon hours. So I managed to kick the habit for a fair old while, but I might have gone for Pearl now if I still had my DS. Edit: I got me Pokemans in a tangle.
  17. Commodore back in business

    *delete me*
  18. Buying a new Mac/PC, advice?

Adium is a very good instant messaging client I'm told. Inkscape is also a promising piece of vector art/illustration software.
  19. Spaff's Party Dress

So Spaff hit your wardrobe for massive gay?
  20. Spaff's Party Dress

This is all meaningless crap without names. Therefore we demand names before bowing to [whoever]'s greatness.
  21. Spaff's Party Dress

    Needs a better bra.
  22. "fun" games on 360

It might, depending on how well Namco handle the project without its original designer. I suppose it should count, in the sense that it demonstrates that a company is willing to release a very high profile "fun" title on the platform in the future. I'd like to see more platform-exclusive titles (I know, I know) on this list though, so I'll add Amped 3. Ordered it a couple Friday's ago for less than a tenner delivered and it finally arrived on Saturday. I've played it for about 3-4 hours over the weekend and it's great fun. It suffers from what most early 360 titles did though, being that it hands Achievements out like candy; 100 points for just a couple of hours work seems excessive to me, especially as 50 of those came from just selecting my snowmobile to ride around on... It's also worth noting, however, that the in-game humour is genuinely funny. Which is a very rare thing indeed. Amped 3 is shaping up to be a great fun game. My only gripe would be its slopes seem very short when compared to SSX3's halcyon "whole mountain" rides. Its saving graces in this respect (humour aside) would be the visual sophistication of it tricks, the greater variety of challenges (especially the whackier stuff like "biggest hospital bill" runs and the ludicrous film stunts), plus it's more realistic. Aaand there's a track building tool as well, where you can setup courses from the numerous props (such as ramps, crates, etc.) that you've been awarded for completing certain types of challenges.
  23. Guitar Hero 360

MS adding Phantom Dust to the BC list just rubs more salt in EU wounds; Microsoft finally killed the European release - after delaying it for months - when the 360 was officially announced.
  24. Why I hate you, and the internet

When I visited jaf's town, I wore a hockey mask and chased him with an axe. Then I gave him a nurse's outfit to wear, before we beat each other senseless with butterfly nets. Good, clean, wholesome fun...
