Oh, and almost forgot the emoticon. Just to make clear:
  6. Brighton UK Develop Conference

    What's wrong about attraction?
  7. DS Lite

    Pink DS lite is here.
  8. DS Lite

I wanted to wait for some special colored Japanese-exclusive version of the lite (other than the two blue ones), before trading in my "old" DS and switching to a lite. After seeing the awesome new screens in real life for the first time this weekend though, i immediately went and bought a white one. I had to get a replacement the other day, because there was a dead pixel on the upper screen, but now everything is fine and i really love it. Right now I'm having lots of fun replaying many games i hadn't played for months, just to see how they look on the new screens.
  9. Shitness apology/explained

Not exactly new insights here, but still it seems to be something everyone has to learn by himself to actually grasp it. It's the same with every creative job, where you need someone to pay you for. And it's not just that you are not an artist, also what you are producing is not art, but a product that first you have to sell to your customer who then has to sell it on some kind of mass market. And for as long as it's not quality or originality customers want, for as long as the FIFAs and Need for Speeds of this world sell more than the Psychonauts and Icos, this will not change. Actually, it will never ever change.

  11. New Super Mario Bros.

I'm in the final world now on New Super Mario Brothers and can happily say, all my insecurities about the controls have disappeared. The whole Mario having more weight thing finally makes sense and even the wall jumping feels almost natural now. There's just so many great ideas and stages I am looking forward to playing over and over again for their incredible level design. I'm as happy as can be and in total harmony with myself and the world around me (Mushroom Kingdom, apparently).
  12. New Super Mario Bros.

Got my copy yesterday, and am since then wondering: why do I have to press towards the wall when doing walljumps? In every game I remember you had to press away from the wall to do so. Is there a way to change this? Also, Mario seems to react a bit slow, especially when changing directions. Could be only me though, or just the fact that I hadn't played a sidescrolling Mario game for years now. Besides that, I'm loving it so far.
  13. Most Dull Online game Ever

bwahahahaha It's not only your posting that made me laugh so hard, but the fact that every time i was pressing F5 during the last few minutes to see if anyone had replied yet, i saw you had added a new line and made it even better.

  16. Sony: hey why not buy a wii?

Even with journalists outside games websites and magazines, Sony seems to have a tough stand right now: A Reuters Article about E3
  17. possibly interesting e3 games

Seconded. Games, release date, price, and every last detail to be revealed. Also I want to see real games running on the real PS3, as opposed to prerendered movies or demos running on who-knows-what. The more i think about it, the more i realise there's not that many games i'm particularly looking forward to. Pilotwings, Elebits, Mario 128, Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz, and maybe Sonic on PS3 or Wii. Still, I've never been as excited as I am this year.
  18. Co-Op story-based games?

Old one, but i finished "Secret of Mana" together with my sister back then. If you got an snes emulator, you might want to give it a try.
