I wonder how they handle Quality Assurance? On topic: I like what you've written so far (but I didn't read much of the Thief post because, while I have the game, it freezes on me in XP ).

Cows don't vomit, they regurgitate (off topic, I know).

So I don't own this game but I read about an easter egg involving Has anyone encountered that? A link with a spoiler that contains a link that has spoilers (concerns aforementioned easter egg)

So which of those lovely ladies is your girlfriend*? (yes, I'm being nosy ) *My guess is the one in the blue shirt.

Codes for the friends of the Pokemon? I'm not helping...

I'm on a Don Henley kick at the moment. Listening to Inside Job and his 1995 greatest hits CD* - Actual Miles. I'm looking forward to the new Eagles CD* too. *I still want to call them albums. I'm showing my age.

I just wanted to give a heads up on this adventure game (it's due to be released in France in mid October and elsewhere in Q1 2008). It's a third person game but you don't play as the character you control (Lea Nichols). You control her using the equipment in the ship she's trapped in and you have to anticipate the possible dangers and try to gain her trust. Your character and the relationship to Lea will be revealed as the game goes on. Here's the website (a new trailer was just released) and the game info (which has a link to an older preview from E3 2006).

It's always good to have something to fall back on.

Hahaha! "...just remember, it's not a lie if you believe it."

I think this argument is getting close to rivaling a 'what are adventure games smackdown.' It's interesting but too tense for me.

I'm not sure if it'll be a HAL type of thing. As you go through the game, the player's identity and relationship to the main character will be revealed. You also supposedly have to gain her trust. This is from the preview from quite a while ago:

An ex-boyfriend of mine once told me he'd never shave his head completely bald and have a goatee/moustache (like the ensemble Wrestlevania is supporting) because he didn't want to be confused for an ex-convict. That said, your baby is soooo cuuuuute!!
-
I haven't ever seen a before picture, but I like it! (I was actually expecting complete baldness, which not every guy can pull off)

Josh is still making his game! http://www.adventuregamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19739

Here's a bit more info to go with the screenies on the official website.

The Hype-o-meter will be redone really, really, really soon. And what's with the 100%? More like 300%.

Cigol, if you haven't played episodes 4 through 6, it would be worth it. They had a chance to implement a lot of the fan feedback and they improved. Having playtested the first episode of Season Two, they're continuing in that vein of improvement (and that's all I can say without the NDA device implanted in my brain exploding ). You can always play the demos of the last 3 episodes of Season One if you're not ready to commit to buying.

Jake (I think it was him) posted over at Telltale forums that they aren't doing season one for the Wii (right now at least, I think). The programmers they hired for XBox360 and Wii were for the CSI game. I don't think it precludes it in the future. I can't find the post where he says (to confirm it), so hopefully he'll pop by.

It's purely cinematic, as verified by Jake, here.

I live in Davis and I've never seen this flying car*! *This is in no way refuting the existence of said car...

I'll definitely try the demo. I think the only place I'm falling short is the RAM.

I can imagine that I would suck playing this kind of game (I'm not very proficient with games like this) but I do want to play it sometime just because the premise sounds cool and it looks really amazing.

...the fourth most searched for item on Yahoo.com on Sunday, August 19,2007 was blueberry pancakes?

It looks stunning!
