http://wii.ign.com/articles/731/731786p1.html I've not heard of this game before but the controls sound quite interesting. I hope the fighting game guys will adopt something similar.

A grim fandango movie ought to be animated or something like burton's corpse bride. How are you going to show the mouths with live actors?

The presentation was great in the sense of how they told the story of the darwinians. Very cinematic. The graphics were pretty screwy when i played it(video card problems).

I hate it when they die or fight among themselves(red darwinians killing green darwinians. The sound they make when they die, yikes.

The web series marek mentioned is supposed to take place during the one year jump.

Watching it now on gamespot. They're showcassing the creature editor. I love that they've done away with sliders and made the body parts like plasticine.

I want a giant bunny killer robot myself.

Heh. They'll be populating every spore game that connects to the internet too.

Yeah I finished it. Heh, the mating is pretty funny.

It's appealing because you can't do this with the old controllers. Why go to the trouble of making a new controller and have things play the same? Speaking of sword fighting, Monkey Island Wii!

Some of the moves described in the previews seem quite complicated. There's going to be a learning curve and the tutorials have got to be good. The preview I found most interesting so far is the red steel one because of the sword fighting. You have to get a target lock first before you can engage the enemy with the sword and apparently, the fighting is not free hand but it sounds like you basically block or do different attacks by positioning your hands differently while pressing down on a button. Pity you can't do free hand sword duels but i guess that's too complicated to implement. Heh, all that talk about gestures in those previews made me think of Black and White. Wouldn't that game fit well with Wii?

A bit dull after the excellent downloaded. The second part should be better, I hope.
-
Why did it go away in the first place?
-
The poster probably meant that the environments were rendered with the game's 3d engine.
