Ah, yes, sorry. Shouldn't post when tired. I absolutely did not mean say something like "Go ahead and do it". I meant get her some help from other sources, rather than submit to manipulation.

You do it exactly like the non-parsed code in Nappi's post. Or quote this for a look.

Really sorry to hear this SSD. ^ These. If she's trying to manipulate you, call the bluff (Edit: totally the wrong choice of words) get her professional help instead of letting her manipulate you. If she isn't, then the right thing to do won't necessarily elicit a positive response from her. Either way, it's really not fair to push that weight onto you.

I just finished rebuilding a knckered old BMX bike, and made it into this: (Flickr set) It was in a bad way when I got it, with no headset or brakes. Most of the components it did still have were in a bag and really badly corroded; the bits still on the bike hadn't been greased in years. I also had to find out what it was, as the original owner didn't know. The only pristine thing about it was the paintjob; the guy I bought it from works for Caterpillar and it had been resprayed in the same yellow as all their diggers. Very satisfying to repair it and also get it looking that tidy, now to head up to the skate park and try not to hurt myself too badly while learning to jump it.
  5. GTA V

Doubtful that there will be anything this week; GDC have tried to move everything away from game reveals.

Also cannot believe I forgot to put this up here a few months ago. Funniest interview I've ever seen: lFqV-ptvLmI

Exchange between my boss and I ran something like this: "I imagine the location they interview testers at looking like a 70s fuck pad" "Oh don't. Now I'm imagining fat white male testers 'roleplaying'". "Bend over Gabe!" "Stop it"

Hilarious It has to be a low point in someone's life when their wife is on TV and says, to the nation: "My husband's useless".

Yeah, that San Andreas one was really annoying. I don't feel the same about the bank job in IV though. Maybe I got lucky in nailing it after a few attempts (anyone who's played online with me will know I'm not that good). The feeling of calm after all of the gunfire had finally lulled was quite a resonant moment
  13. Recently QUITED games

That's a toughie. Took me a few attempts even after stocking up on ridiculous amounts of weaponry.

The yaoi was too much, sorry. I find old drives are usually full of stuff I thought was important, but turned out to just be forgettable. Armchair, I bow to your superior knowledge of hard dick drives That thing appears to be for magnetising pepper

Dead Rising. I got to the clown before the unreadable text resulting from playing on an old TV annoyed me into quitting. I tried it again with a HDTV, but got to the mission with the obnoxious photographer, tried it, got frustrated, killed him, then noodled around a bit before getting bored. I want to like it, and it's a game I'd held onto to try again, but I did quite a bit of side stuff and arsing around on the original attempt. Now playing through the first parts again really switches me off.

So this letter I composed will be useless? , but not seriously so. Seriously though, waste regs vary from country to country. Electronic waste generally has to be taken somewhere rather than just thrown in the trash.

Well, the shape of the baseplate in that blurry photograph tells us that it's definitely a Seagate Ultra Recurve Sata, what's unknown right now is whether or not it was an '06 or '07 model. The two look outwardly identical, but FATs are done for the '06 model with modal median module management, whereas the '07 uses alloicious armature ejaculation allocation. The symmetrical connector would usually be a giveaway, but only when it's black. White ones were used in the interim period between the two models. One of these could probably talk to it.

I think my record is maybe just over fifty. At that point, I started to hallucinate.

Well then. You're fucked. No way out.
  22. Can someone help me identify this strange hard drive?

Yes. That big gap on the bottom is usually full of a printed circuit board. If you found an identical drive, you could swap it over to get the data off.
