The endorphins make running much better after a while, though I only find it bearable with music.

I found another upload of the trailer. Jesus tittyfucking Christ I don't even… the way the heart silhouette near the end hovers on the breasts for longer than it does the face is a bit, um, special. More disturbing when I googled for it was finding a news site where some guy, byline and everything, wrote about the trailer and put YES PLEASE! in his headline.

Idle Explorers (Spelunky, um, thumbs)

Yeah, the method I've found is far from 100% perfect, sorry. Hammerpants' video above your post also shows that you can use far fewer bombs than I normally do (I'm wary of the way shopkeeps sometimes bounce their way back up narrow gaps). -
Ah, second degree burns! Uncomfortable for a month or so, but thank fuck it wasn't more serious.

(Unrelated to image but in reply to TychoC: It perpetually amazes me that Reddit has a supportive and rational mountain biking community, when every other forum I've found for MTB is a cesspool of performative machismo).

Yeah, it's relatively warm (though windy) here too. It's mostly 4 - 7C with low humidity, which is fine for cycling and unusual for December/January. I've not had to get any of my cold weather gear out at all this winter.

The best way I've found to raid the black market is below. It uses a lot of bombs. Collect enough loot in the earlier levels that you can buy stuff instead of robbing shops on the way to the Black Market (unless you see a jetpack and climbing gloves). Once you get there, fire a rope up outside the entrance on the top level. Scout it all to see what stuff you want, and maybe buy a bomb box or two if you're low. Bomb out the left hand side platforms to funnel shopkeepers down to the lower levels. Bomb out the right hand side platforms to funnel shopkeepers into the bit with the Ankh. I usually throw another rope between any ladders on that side, just so I have an extra thing to grab in the air (Don't bomb out above the Ankh just yet, because that'll rage them). Clear any tiki traps that might inconvenience you, but not if they're likely to kill shopkeepers. Get on the rope you threw up near the entrance earlier, then either fire into, throw a boomerang in, or a bomb at the first shop entrance. Jump the fuck up the rope before any shopkeepers have a chance to fire. Most shopkeepers run out of their shops and into the pits you've created. Walk through the top level once you're sure the shopkeepers will be out of the way (ideally both ran left so you saw them head downward). Get on the ladder outside the entrance to the shops on the next level down. Stay high so no jumping shopkeepers or stray shotgun blasts will catch you. Throw bombs down and to the right to clear out blocks above the Ankh. Eventually, you'll plant one right on a shopkeeper and take out most if not all of the ones that are stuck down there. Repeat until you're sure it's cleared, though probably enough of it will be bombed out that you can creep down for a look without any shopkeepers being able to get back out of the hole. Go down, retrieve shotgun and ankh. Fire as fast as you can walking through the second level just in case there are more shopkeepers. They only fire once you're in a certain range, so your pellets should catch and disarm them. Fuck saving the pug, most times it'll get you shot. Go back to the Ankh shop when ready to leave. Bomb downward to the exit. Usually, the bottom level will have killed any shopkeepers that got down there all by itself. I estimate it works about 60% of the time for me, and often when it fails it's because a random creature angered them while I was still scouting/prepping. Sometimes it falls flat due to seeds that are very low on bombs in early levels and the BM. Bombing out the platforms either side means that the shopkeepers can never work their way back to upper levels. If the ghost turns up, it also means you generally have the top two levels clear to manoeuvre around it. With jetpack and climbing gloves you can not bother with the rope, and even get away without the prep sometimes. If you have a shotgun before getting there, you could also just make your way over the top floor shooting, but if there's a pug or any hired hands the bodies will block shotgun pellets. That works slightly in the shopkeepers favour, because it increases the chance of them getting into the same space as you so they can jump around and melee. -
It's more that it takes stuff away: A typical roguelike has large maps, whereas this restricts each level to a 6x6 grid.

It might have online. I've only played much older versions that don't.

What a fucking lowlife douchebag, I bet he starts beasting people as they approach the point where he'll have to start paying them too. This made me laugh though: There's a place I walk past in Nottingham with fancy graphic design, an architectural model near the window, and signs that often say they're recruiting. They always have people waiting in there, so I got curious and looked them up: They're a telesales company, and it seems obvious now that they have a really high staff turnover.

TychoC: I'm especially enjoying your commitment to this, as well as watching people become very confused by it. Bearing no relation whatsoever to my own opinions, I award you an objective  -
I really like that, instead of picking up and explaining everything from the second season ending, they're using Sherlock's survival to wind fans up and enact ridiculous theories on film.

Congrats, but I don't know a way. I'm frustrated in the same way on Vita, my PB is 350K but it won't upload to the leaderboards because the connection had crapped out when I set it.
-
Congrats Erkki and subbes A few of my friends have switched to e-cigs, which seem to work well for them.
-
It's a local multiplayer game. Two players in a match, but the extra multiplayer stuff it shows is a tournament mode, for whittling a group of players down to one pair for a final.

Nidhogg (or at least the versions I've played so far) tends to balance into absurdly tense standoffs and sudden reversals, leading to some incredible matches. He's also managed to get a lot of moves out of a minimal control set without having to resort to any fiddly or complex combos, making it very accessible to new players.

Kapala and royal jelly make this easily possible, though I think the most I've had before fucking up is 11.

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

Following a load of stuff related to the Hotline Miami soundtrack over the past few months eventually led me to Big Black Delta: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KdMj-SmCM0w I also got a bit obsessed with vaporwave thanks to this thread, and this is one of the best pieces I found (don't think I posted it yet) -

A very tense jump around 2:04, some tricky work around the ghost in 1-3, and was going quite well until the jungle. A pretty funny mistake at 13:40. I should do these drunk more often. I'd misread a spoiler about the daily on Twitter but it was a spoiler for PS3 rather than PC, and was slightly disappointed. I talk about it in the video, so if you're playing on vita or PS3, spoiler warning: -
The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

Zeus, here are a whole load of techno recommendations. These are all great when I need to focus on something or make myself go for a long run: (Edit: Here it all is, except the last song linked below, as a playlist) ( ) ( if you want epic or uplifting) (Damn fine, but decidedly at the minimal downbeat end of minimal techno)Igor Shep (Not his soundcloud account, but couldn't find that song anywhere else) -
I've had characters behave erratically on vita: At first, it started normally, then after a few days playing, the golden monk, robot, ninja, and viking had all unlocked despite me not getting them, and in some cases not even getting to the relevant levels. After 400 or so deaths, I still occasionally find coffins though. I only just unlocked the round boy yesterday.

I like Meat Boy because he looks so happy while robbing shops.

Tempted with never needing to breathe because that would be cool sometimes, but rarely useful unless it was specific to my job or something. Also, a lot of places where you can't breathe can kill you quickly with either pressure, temperature or toxicity. All the time I'd get from not having to sleep makes it an obvious choice.

I massively enjoyed that trailer. I have a feeling it's much more enjoyable than the film will be though.
