Hah, like the baby tattoo idea. Just had another look through the thread, this one is great Toblix

I agree with that too, these links can generate things worse than the vaguest, most nonsensical briefs and doing whatever they give is good for your mental muscles. Still not inspiring for me though. I approach this as "some dude on a forum" rather than as a designer
-
I very rarely get excited by films. This one? Yes
-
You should definitely change your custom title to this.

It's pretty impressive, though the games press seem to be forgetting that revenue isn't really a measure of mindshare. I think games still have a way to go before they're on a par with films culturally, but GTAIV hs been a great step (even if it is like an action film... )

I sup broth from the random ladle! I also spit most of it out, but:

I totally accept and agree with your point that creativity is enhanced by constraint, but Thunderpeel seems to think I should work with the first thing the links give out, when mostly they generate ass and don't work as concepts. I'm picky, and don't care if he wants to call me cheat. this one was random and I really liked it:

Randomness isn't so good.

I really like the idea, and will definitely be putting some time into it, it's just at work it's pretty much: "HEY! Would you like to do a quest?" "Erm.. no. I'm meant to be writing that proposal... :)"

I've been clicking the links over and over since this thread started, waiting for something I liked, and finally got one this morning Will do it this evening.

I'm pretty jazzed by the aesthetic and the idea, though I tried it briefly yesterday and it seemed very distracting - I thought it would be a lot more passive than it is and I could have it on while I worked

Do you feel that? It's viral buzz, building up in our bellies!

The avatar looks like him. I declare this Wes Borland authentic.

The Dancing Thumb (aka: music recommendations)

Yeah, I found out about them using artwork without attribution or payment and "remixing" a song yesterday evening. Perhaps piracy is something they deserve... Also, while I believe abusing IP is shitty, I think the application of the term theft is confusing nonsense. Reproducing something is not the same as taking it, and has a different effect. Thanks for the link. He Also mentions Raymond Scott, who not only did lots of music for/used in Warner Brothers cartoons, but also did pioneering electronic music that sounded like chiptunes decades before their time -

Based on already liking your other three recommendations, I'm going to have to try Art Brut. Sound of Silver has been in my playlists nearly every week so far this year. -

Claro Intelecto today at work, and slightly surprised to be getting a universal positive reaction to it at the office. Not sure if there's much online to listen to, but it's good. The commercial site linked from his site is the only place I can find with a quick squiz round the net, Last FM only shows similar artists. -

I've been listening to Crystal Castles for the past month or so, and like the 8 bit influence a lot. I also just found out they played my town a few days ago and I didn't hear about it. I'll also miss them by three days when I visit Amsterdam later this month. Sad am I. -
Yeah, that was my first one too, didn't realise they were around at all until then and thought it was a weapon at first due to the red glow. After my 499 agility orbs debacle with Crackdown (:(!!!), I'm saving the other 199 pigeons for after I've done all the missions.

It looks pretty shoddy.

I don't think so, not yet, but the game disc applied an update to my console the first time I put it in. Has anyone been inside the statue of happiness yet? I've tried, but keep bouncing off and falling to my death.

No, we're a bunch who get together at a cafe once a week to drink tea, play mario kart DS and swear loudly at each other. They're all junkies for Phoenix Wright games. I think yours, with the visor, may just be the most awesome

I just did Brucie's race on the first attempt...

404 on the first two of those Rodi. The DS night people here in Nottingham were suitably impressed and delighted when I showed them the images in your first post.
