The flickr user accidentally the whole images. All of them.

I love the way he turns it into a punchline for just about any chat with them

Aha, thought that might be the case. Excellent, I've played too many multiplayer games where it takes bloody ages to find anyone else. My confusion, it diminishes

I was sat near exactly that spot reading and watching the surfers about a month ago Will be down for the barcamp there this weekend too. Did you get a chance to look around the North Laine? Some good indie shops around there (Though Spaff would take exception to the vegetarian food )

I never truly appreciated Peter Molyneux until the first year I went to Develop and learned he'd had his picture taken with Yufster.

I was looking at the team page and wondering if you were the same Alex Ashby Plain Sight looks excellent; I love the aesthetic, and though I don't want to presume, it looks like some good gameplay decisions have gone into the way robots affect the environment visually.

Thanks LOPCagney and ysbreker. If I had spare money sloshing around right now i'd bid against you on the Totoro image, it's beautiful. Found a CBR of the Codex this morning, it reminds me a lot of Jim Woodring, but the elaboration and attention to detail are phenomenal.

I was astounded to learn last week that Chas and Dave split up. Except, Chas found a new Dave and Dave found a new Chas, and both pairs now perform under the name Chas and Dave*. Clearly, they are replicating like a virus and will soon proliferate to overtake Elvis impersonators. *

PM me if you're a regular and would like a pass. Away for the weekend though, so might be next week before it comes through.

I found that usually just ended up with the cab stuck on some scenery or between some parked cars. I used the skip button a lot.

Yes. He doesn't suck, but he is a little odd as well as very clever

There's something weirdly compelling about them. Genre needs a name

Yeah. A bitch. Levels with lots of thieves get annoying really fast. We finished normal and are now 1/3 of the way through insane. Got all the orbs, as well as all the weapons we can find so far, and each have a knight above level 80*. The arrows are like a machine gun with dexterity all the way up * Even with everything up, the insane mode is a massive button mashing fest. Strategy tends to consist of picking the right button to mash in advance, except on some of the bosses. The troll just before the woodmill was an absolute nightmare.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I'm playing as the red knight and wouldn't have been able to do the Thieve's arena without the RT+Jump lightning balls.

This is awesome We've frittered away about eight hours on two player today. Any tips on taking on the bigger standard guys in single player? (I'm at the bit just after you chase the guy on the camel and get the zebra familiar). I'm finding the bosses fine, but the big dudes who only drop standard pickups have a nasty habit of interrupting attacks and throwing me around. They seem pretty difficult without a second player to decoy them. Also, is it me or is the magic a bit weeny? I was hoping it'd be like the dragons and stuff in Golden axe, but it just seems to be extra melee and ranged attacks that aren't particularly good.

omg I spent all last week so excited about this, then somehow forgot it was coming out the other day.

Yeah, you're right toblix. I find myself constantly tweaking it upward while cornering. I see someone has taken it all the way back to 2006

"There is no uncanny valley any more," declares French developer
Nachimir replied to Wrestlevania's topic in Video Gaming
I think you're right. Realism and interactivity together are like a Sierpinski triangle. The player can almost always hang around long enough, or go close enough, to break the illusion. As for Heavy Rain, I have no opinions on it. I can't be arsed with hype for any games any more . It's always a disappointment to play after an ideal image has been put out there, whereas a few (like Fable) have been pleasant surprises as a result of avoiding most stuff put out in advance. -
Limbo Of The Lost is/was a point and click adventure game made by three guys in England, and it turned out to be made from lots of screenshots from other games. Many are slightly photoshopped, like this one from Thief 3 that has skulls from Diablo. The website for it was hosted on Geocities and is gone. I'm astounded they managed to get it all the way to retail thinking noone would notice GamePlasma broke the story, but the best source I've found is this Neogaf thread, because they keep on finding more games that have had assets ripped. The first to come to light was Oblivion, but following it have been UT2K4, Diablo, Silent Hill, Thief 3, etc, etc. Threads are turning up on forums like BeyondUnreal saying "Hey this is ripping off our favorite game", and Neogaf is collecting them. Edit: RPS ran a competition to photoshop the main character into more games, resulting in these fine entries: http://i31.tinypic.com/2u7wrp2.jpg http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/images/june08/limbocompo/AlexRyan.JPG http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/images/june08/limbocompo/Lacero.png

I found it like going on a date with a mind blowingly pretty but ultimately very dumb girl. Doesn't matter how good looking it is, can't sustain my interest I'm astounded by the environments and the character animation, but can't be arsed with the game.

Ah yes, Thunderpeel speaks truth. Long time since I've needed to fix one
-
If it has scratches on it, 15 minutes of polishing with brasso or a similar mild abrasive can wear them right down until it works again. I've saved a couple of discs with this before.
-
That's right. Once you complete the game, the speedruns option opens up. A timer appears in the top right during them, and no time effects influence it.
-
Argh, current speedrun time = 46.50 The record is currently a mind boggling 29.56 :0

Thanks. There's also a reading of the ending at rllmuk, with some interesting stuff:
