  1. Holy crap holy crap holy crap. Ikaruga on 360!

Repeated typing of the letter 'e' in joy! If I manage to catch Miffy online, I'll be sure to play some co-op!
  2. Let's Talk About Rayman Again

Yeah, seeing as I got the GBA version and liked it heaps, I think I'll pick up this one too. Who knows, maybe I'll see some cross-cart promotion or something. It's really looking pretty slick.
  3. Must-play PlayStation 2 games

Also, brace yourself for the unnecessarily long introduction. It was like thirty minutes into the game at work during lunch and they hadn't even used the brush yet. M...a...y...b...e i...f t...h...e...y d...i...d...n...'...t d...o t...h...e s...t...a...r...t i...n u...n...s...k...i...p...p...b...a...b...b...l...e s...l...o...w t...e...x...t... Also lent Ape Escape 3 to a friend. I explained that the the Evil Monkey's plan was to use a gigantic space station shaped like a hand to karate chop the planet in half and keep half for himself and the other half to his assistant. I think that did the trick.
  4. This has made my day. Blast those meteorites! Collect fuel! Assemble a rocketship! Bliss. Edit: Removed novelty title, I didn't realise these were upsetting so many people, I thought we were all enjoying them so I was playing along. Sorry.
  5. I'm playing through Hotel Dusk and loving it. I get to fufill my dream of being a complete arse to everybody. After that, it's probably back to Viva Pinata and trying to get those damn Roarios into my garden. Damn thing - you need five Zumbugs and Doenuts in there to even get it to VISIT. And THEN! THEN! You have to let it eat.... three.... I think? of each species. GODDAMMIT YOU STUPID LION I WILL HAVE YOU
  6. Jetpac Refuelled? More like JetCRAP Vomit Pooled!

Oh...looks like I can't actually edit the title after all...
  7. It's really hard to describe. That's the best way I can get my point across. It's like you're moving in the water as though you were flying.
  8. Yeah, swimming in the ocean as Zora Link was incredible. It's like flying, but in water. Amazing. One of the few 3D games to nail swimming perfectly.
  9. The Thumbs could just make a standard Madlib and have everyone fill out one of those while they're at GDC! It'll be easy, fun and lazy! Just like the Thumbs itself! Here's a prototype to get you started: While at the GDC, I met [name]. They said that they had seen [thing]. According to [name], it was the [adjective] [noun] they'd ever [verb]. They also saw [Tim Schafer]. He [adjective] just like a [noun]. It was the most [adjective] [noun] of my [noun]. The winner of Best [award] was a crock. It totally should have been [obscure game or person]. These awards are a [noun].
  10. Majora's Mask? More like And yes, Forest Temple is where it really starts to kick in. I love the twisty tunnel. We were looking at that at work and were still amazed to this day how they managed to pull that off with the tech they had. When you stop and think about it, there's some fucking INCREDIBLE stuff going on in this game.
  11. Picross DS? More like [yawn]

Yeah, basically, the first thing it's asking you is "With hint?" Yes / No
  12. Picross DS? More like [yawn]

It's asking you if you want to use buttons or the stylus to play. It doesn't matter, you can change it on the puzzle select screen by touching the Control Pad/Stylus icon in the top right of the touch screen. The icon displayed is the control method that you will use if you start to play. Also, a round of applause for yet another brilliant title. You never cease to amaze me.
  13. How do you rez characters in FFIII?

I solved this problem by not playing any Final Fantasy game at all ever. It's worked well so far!
  14. Picross DS!

The puzzles are saved to the cart. I know this, because the Wi-Fi is set up on my wonky DS (which I struggled through to download the extra packs), and then I played them on the other, working DS. I imagine that there's a set limit you can download though, because you can erase the packs if you don't want them. The packs also are a throwback to the original Mario's Picross - they have the music from the GB game, and the presentation from the Japanese SNES version.
  15. Picross DS!

ARGH! It's sitting RIGHT HERE! And my DS has decided to pike out on the Picross action and have its touch screen go spak. Meaning that I can't play it on my DS. I've had to borrow my mum's DS (which has primarily been used for Brain Training and Phoenix Wright), so I've managed to get a quick fix. The word on the street: - You can play regular Picross, which gives you different sets of puzzles to do, and makes cute little animated pictures from them when you're done. Varying difficulties. - You can choose Daily Picross, which functions in a Brain Training-like way: do five random Picross puzzles as quickly as you can, once a day. Your progress is tracked via a line graph. - Design your own Picross via My Picross. Draw up your own Picross puzzle, then go ahead and play it if you like. - Go online and play Competition Picross against a random person - might be able to use Friend Codes too, but I don't know. - Go online and download extra puzzle packs. There's two up so far - a ten pack of Mario's Picross puzzles, and a ten pack of Nintendo Power Picross puzzles. This game even supports the freaking rumble pack! Very little supports the Rumble Pack! I'm blown away! It gives you a little jolt whenever you pick away at a square, it's quite subtle. That's all I can decipher for now.
  16. Picross DS!

    Have fun!
  17. A thread about what benchguys.net *could* have been

I read that as "Katamari Damacy", and that suddenly explained a lot about the game. But then I realised that I misread that, and the game continues to mystify.
  18. Maybe we should just collate all of these awful topic names into one long post of their own, for posterity? ... Now I've done it.
  19. Yay! I have right here, on my desk, as I type this, Full Throttle and Grim Fandango! Throttle was the only LucasArts adventure game I didn't actually own - I have all the rest. Grim didn't work on my current computer with XP (it would boot in, let me watch the intro and get into Manny's office, then quit back to XP). This one does! And depending where you go, prices for these games range from AU$8 to AU$15. Pretty damn cool. Titles released include: - Curse of Monkey Island - Full Throttle - Sam and Max Hit the Road - Grim Fandango - The Dig - Some awful Star Wars games I don't care about If you don't have any of these games and can't find them (or they won't run on your PC), most of the listed titles seem to be found here for AU$10. This works out to be about US$7.70, 4 pounds (can't find the pound symbol) and 6 Euro (can't find the Euro symbol either). Just thought you would all like to know.
  20. Activision Australia re-releases old Adventure Games!

Isn't Canada a part of America? I'M KIDDING! Works out to be CAD$9.
  21. If by "miss my horsey" you mean "dislike spending hours upon hours of pointless sailing in an MS Paint Bucket Tool Ocean and compounding that with needless backtracking and Rupee Hunting for Tingle to make seven maps that I had already found useable", then yes. Yes, I missed my horsey VERY much.
  22. Captain Planet saves BELFAST!

Hahaha "Enemy territory, and me beeping like an alarm clock!" Stupid American Wheeler, will you never learn? Oh God, each word is like horrible knife poking through different parts of my brain. At one point, I could taste purple.
  23. My Web Comic

I'll trade you, here's one of mine: And one that Scott Campbell did for me: The rest can be found here, but they really don't get any better. In fact, if there was an anti-better, then they'd probably be worse than that.
  24. All the Zelda Games?! More like MODERATED FTW

I geniuinely hope you like it and get as much pleasure out of discovering all the fun little bits and new puzzles that I did. And remember: two torches = BOMB THE WALL!
  25. Xbox 360 Live Arcade

You are absolutely fucking spot-on. (Except for Viva Pinata, as everyone knows that I like that too.) My best gameplay times have been spent with Cloning Clyde, Lumines, Uno, Heavy Weapon, and Assault Heroes. Looking forward to Castlevania: The One Everyone Goes On About, Castle Crashers, Alien Hominid HD, and Sonic the Hedgehog High Speed (if it ever comes out). And of course, there's the lovely games which just pop up and hit you out of the face from out of nowhere, and you discover that they're awesome. Assault Heroes was one of these. Man, I'd love it if Rare brought out Jetpac for Live Arcade. I had more enjoyment from that and the (only!) arcade Donkey Kong port with the pie factory instead of DK64 itself.
