There's still no Krang, of course I'm going to complain! (I'm sorry, my TMNT standards are unreachable, because there will never be any more games based on the cartoon I grew up with.)
-
Here, have a panel-by-panel analysis of Captain Planet's Lake of Fear - it was printed on recycled paper!

Typical. The concept art looks way more fun than the in-game screenshot. Why can't they make the game look like the concept art, with all the kooky expressions on the rather simple-looking characters? I'd play that. ...I'd probably be the only person who would. But look at those crowbar dudes! Their expressions are priceless.

You need to have the German version, it's way cooler.

Actually, I'd recommend Ratchet & Clank 2 over 3. Seems better to me. That's just personal choice though. But for the love of God, don't get Ratchet: The One That Doesn't Have Clank In The Title. Sly 2 or 3 would also be a good choice (Sly 3 has a Koala that rides on people's heads!) Oh, Ape Escape 2 or 3 is a winner too. Klonoa 2 is great if you can find it. Primal is pretty cool too. ...and, I think that's about it for me.

Launch games I want in no particular order: Zelda, Rayman, Monkey Ball, Elebits, SpongeBob (I don't know why either).

Get the GBA version:

I must say though, that SpongeBob Wii game isn't looking half bad. I think though, that testing licensed video games for about four years has made me appreciate a good licensed game a lot more though. Most of those Kim Possible games have turned out orright - but really, it's hard to screw up a video game based on a show where the main character PUNCHES, KICKS, and CLIMBS BOXES. (Can't wait for the PS2 game, it's a 2 1/2-D platformer!)

Well, I only just found out about all of those little teaser promos that show the Rabbids trying to perform assorted tasks (like vaccuuming, playing soccer, and infilitrating a games convention centre ala Solid Snake). To me, these look hilarious, and I really can't wait for this game. People have pointed out that it now looks like a series of mini-games rather than an 'actual game', but to be honest, I couldn't care less - it looks like an absolute riot. AAAAAAAAARRRGH!

What? WHAT?! WHAT?!! Why don't they just roll out STREET SHARKS while they're at it? Although, I would pay good money for a Victor and Hugo game. Even if it was terrible.

I love that one game has you DROWNING BUNNIES THROUGH THEIR GOGGLES.

Splinter is brilliant. Samurai Pizza Cats is equal to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The version with Krang, Bebop, Rocksteady, Fly-Baxter and Irma, not that horrid remake which is "truer to the comics". I want a talking brain contolling a naked android, a Shredder sobbing at the unfairness of life, and an evil turtle obsessed with a plastic tree, thank you very much. The legend of the Samurai Pizza Cats localisation goes that the US guys bought the cartoon, but lost the translated script, so they just rewrote it entirely. True or not, the result is sheer inspiration that holds up even today - pity it will never get a proper release because nobody can secure the higgledy-piggledy rights issues. *sigh* Now, Street Sharks, there's something you can hate. Oh yes.

Something to do with Penguin chocolates or something along those lines.

I remember the show - the insane going "WHAT?!" is more for the fact that a Nintendo DS game is being made out of a long-dead ancient kids cartoon that was one of the many knock-offs of TMNT. Biker Mice was last seen in, what, 1993? Brace yourself for the upcoming Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys PSP game.

The Meat Circus made me enter those push-button codes. "YOUUUUUUUUU CHEEEEEATED!" Yes I did, Zim. Yes, I did.

Trying to explain this to a friend in an messenger converation: Aussie Ben says: think of it as someone making a game starring a beardy guy who can raise the dead and heal people, whose name was Bob, with the title of the game being called "Doctor Jesus" Ben says: Right. Ben says: That would be awesome actually.

You could always import it from Germany - they get everything:

PS2 Altered Beast. Suffering from Chronic Awful Syndrome, but I played through it all. Although I did use an Action Replay for the second half. Haha, that game is so silly.
-
This is the best news ever. It would be awesome if these Legos talked, and Mark Hamill did the Joker again. Either way, I can't wait for this.

Yeah, I've got a million of these. One is about an ostrich who could peck with the analog stick and had multiple personalities. ...no, wait, that was Tim Schafer's idea.

Toblix, you just keep bowling me over with that wit of yours. Take it to the comedy circuit. Good Rhythm games include: - Rhythm Tengoku (it has Rhythm in the title, this is a good sign) - Vib Ribbon - Mojib Ribbon (if you can get past the mental language barrier for the menus, the game itself is nice and easy) - Parappa the Rapper - Um Jammer Lammy (Get the Jap or Euro version, it's not censored, Lammy goes to hell, not an island) - Parapper the Rapper 2 (Get the Jap or Euro version, they're allowed to sing about wine) - Elite Beat Agents (Not out yet, but it's basically Ouendan 2) - One of the Donkey Kongas (but probably not all. Go for Euro Donkey Konga 2 if you have a choice, its got about three Supergrass songs on it, I think.) - And finally, Tetrisphere for N64. Because it has awesome music and plays like a 3D Tetris Attack. Oh wait, but it's not a rhythm game. Well, get it anyway, it's awesome.

Hooray, Strikers still has Kremlings as goalies, it gets a Batallion Wars II looks like it will be fun, but I'm terrible at those types of games, so sadly it's not for me. Red Steel...the look of Red Steel actually makes me think of Perfect Dark Zero, of all things. (I don't know if this is good or bad.) Looks interesting, but I'm terrible at first person shooters too. Oh well. Also, does this Fran guy know how much he sounds like a total prat? "Opening doors, you just shake it like that. I thought it was gonna be gimmicky, but you know, it's great."

New Designer Threads on gamespot: John Romero
Aussie Ben replied to ysbreker's topic in Video Gaming
Spot on, Marek - I'd love to see Romero and Hall making some Live Arcade games. I've been aching for another game like Commander Keen since I was eight. -
And, ALSO! Apparently Vivendi is making a new 3D Ultra Minigolf AND The Incredible Machine for Live Arcade! I think that's pretty awesome news. Doesn't rival the Double Fine news, but still pretty damn sweet. I loved The Incredible Machine. All the billion different versions of it.

Don't forget Bomberman: Act Zero!
