My favorite Xbox games: - Panzer Dragoon Orta - KOTOR - Halo - Halo 2 - Midway Arcade Treasures - Chessmaster (joke if you must, but it's awesome) - Doom 3 (I have the PC version, but co-op's soooo much fun over Live) I also recommend Shenmue II, but I don't have the Xbox version (I imported the Dreamcast version for the original Japanese language track).

The Virtual Boy is the only game system ever to make me sick to my stomache. Aside from the cheesy "3D" effects, the glaring, mind-numbingly painful red color was just too much for me to bear. Gunpei Yokoi was a genius. The Virtual Boy was a disaster. I'm told the games don't suck nearly as much if you play them on an emulator (and change the color). But I have such a poor taste in my mouth (nearly literally!) from my attempt to play it that I just can't give it a fair chance ever again.

*cough* I think Majesco's publishing some cool stuff (I haven't opened Phantom Dust yet, but I can't wait) but Jaws ain't it. Do you know there's stealth elements in the game? How about the fact that you pick up torpedoes and spit them at people? Ugh. Early contender for worst game of the year. It wasn't even originally a Jaws game! It was a weird game from a quirky (and slightly insane) Japanese developer that Majesco picked up and slapped the Jaws license on. So silly.

I'm hoping people figure out how to get homebrew PSP apps to run off memory sticks. Then all we need is a ScummVM port, and bam! Best system ever.

Broken Sword worked surprisingly well on the GBA platform. They had to lose the cut-scenes in favor of slideshows, but the shoulder buttons worked out nicely. ...except for the bug that made it impossible to keep playing. That kind of sucked.

I actually think Doom looks a bit better than HL2. HL2 has huge outdoor environments, but Doom's much flashier, and the enemies look much, much scarier. Half-Life 2's a better game, but Doom's got the better graphics. As for good PC games: I just finished up LOTR: Batltle for Middle Earth the other night. I really enjoyed it. It's kinda bare bones compared to more recent story-driven RTSes (there is no story...if you haven't seen the movies, don't bother playing) but the gameplay's there and it's a lot of fun.

I think I'm the only person here who isn't all OMG PSYCHONAUTS IS GONNA ROCK. It's not that I think it sucks or anything, it's just that the released screenshots haven't done anything for me. It sounds kinda cool, but hardly the second coming of Grim Fandango.

Oh please. Seriously, she's not THAT bad. I've seen far worse. At least she's shaped like a woman, and not like a ten year old girl. That seriously creeps me out (Japanese RPGs tend to be guilty of this with alarming frequency).

Jade, for all her other positive qualities, still suffered from Barbie-waist. I ain't knocking it (I don't play these games because I care about such things -- that goes for both sexes), I'm just saying that calling Jade "realistic" because she has a smaller-than-average bust size for a video game character isn't particularly accurate.

What's wrong with her shirt? I actually like it. I like the whole ensemble, actually. It's a lot better than that laughably awful teal thing she was wearing before.

15? Bah. I can do better than that. Reviews in 5 words or less Star Wars: Battlefront : Simply wasn't fun. Fable: WTF? Katamari Damacy: Super happy fun party. Doom 3 Kinda scary, kinda fun. Halo 2: Brief, but cool. Nice online. Half-Life 2: Great. Alyx hot. CS rules. Sega Classics Collection: Opa Opa returns for this? Feel the Magic: XX/YY: Rub. Rub rub. Rub. Yell.

You still think that after Galleon? Actually, Toby Gard is just there for the character design. He came in late on the game's development. In any event, I'd like this to not suck. Tomb Raider was a good franchise once, before it was run into the ground. A cool next-gen Tomb Raider could rock. ...or completely suck.

Well no, the problem with Fable is that it wasn't very good at all. I approached that game completely forgetting (as much as possible) about the hype and what it was supposed to be. Unfortunately what it was, wasn't very good at all. The story was weak, the morality system completely pointless, and it was the easiest game I've played in at least five, possibly ten years (I never died! Not once! I never even needed the ressurection phials!). Yeah the game looked good, and the voice acting was fun, but who cares when every other aspect of the game was so bad? Black & White was okay, although I might be more forgiving of that because I have such fond memories of populous. Dmitri may be the greatest game ever made. I doubt it. I have more confidence in Spore from Will Wright than I do from this game we know essentially nothing about whatsoever.

Sounds like total BS to me, actually. He hasn't said anything about any actual gameplay whatsoever. After the disaster that was Fable, I'm never taking anything Molyneux says as being even remotely related to reality. I still think he's brilliant, but he should keep quiet and let the games speak for themselves (or show themselves as being cardboard cutouts pretending to be more complex than they really are as Fable did).

I had a math teacher I hated when I was in high school. Ohhh, did I ever hate him. He hated me, too. One reason is that he had taught my sister, who was a great student. I on the other hand, was a terrible student (especially in math). That's the other reason. And the primary reason, regardless of what I may have thought at the time. To make a long story short, I barely passed math in high school (I squeeked by somehow to pass the qualifying test), then went off to college where I majored in religion and therefore never had to take a single math class. I've gotten significantly better over the years at math, and even read some light physics and stuff like that, because I find it interesting (somewhere along the line I became a nerd). But I still dislike math in all forms. The result of all of this? I am the world's worst programmer. I know a few languages (perl, php, etc.) and have managed to get a good amount of web projects done, but my code is hideous. Because I suck at math, I rely mostly on logic (which to me, is philosophy, which I'm good at). My code has been known to make real programmers violently ill. One other side note: for my wedding, a bunch of my friends got together and made a movie that was shown during the reception. It featured my friends wishing me well and all of that, but they also tracked down my hated math teacher, and got him to appear on camera. Plus there's a very funny shot where they show the remains of the math department in the high school I went to. It was torn down for renovations...I outlived my high school math department, something I'm quite proud of.

Depends on the game. Good luck finding Rez anywhere but eBay.
