Been looking forward to this, though the trailer hasn't really elevated my enthusiasm at all. I mean, the bloody thing starts with the word "In a world..." I know that the trailer isn't Gilliam's work here, but that kind of cliched nonsense is really offputting.

My left thumb is currently in my left pocket, while the rest of my left hand's fingers sit outside of my pocket. This makes me instantly cool.

I really get a sense with this that the Flash game is a bit of a test for how their next game is going to be. I mean, we already know it's going to be a Guardian Heroes'ish beat-em-up and this is definitely in that vein (if not simplified). They sure like their 16-bit action, though.

Nice ad. Nintendo's campaigns have been pretty good lately (last two years or so).

It was a sad they when they opted for the new, generic wordmark... and god rid of that chime.

 That definitely seems like the Jack Thompson perspective there. But, you know, lies, damned lies, and statistics. This is just the usual over-simplification of statistics to make a point. Granted, that's something the other side does often and it's good to see it from this perspective, but it's not really meaningful. The exact same stats can also be attributed to the legalization of abortion or the fall of the Berlin Wall or Kurt Cobain's death or other random things that happened during the early 90s (late 89).

"Hey, wha' happened?!" "I can't do my wooooork!" It's too bad the movie didn't get the attention that it deserved.

But I thought Open Source/Free Culture promoters were evil far-left Commies? Microsoft's Bill Gates has said this. Now I don't know what to think. Also, I have no idea what is going on here. There's this http://forums.merkey.net/ WITH SOME BIG WORDS (literally) and this http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/11/01/0456243&tid=153&tid=123&tid=95

And that is why Microsoft bought Rare for $350 million.

Ahh, Torus Trooper and ABA Games. If you haven't done so, then I suggest playing ALL of his (free) games. Speaking of shooters, Nanostray should be out on the DS as of today. I'm going to try to find it after work today, but I'm not sure how well that will turn out.

Yeah. And by the time Microsoft moves on and releases this damned (DRM-infested, no doubt) operating system, Apple will be making Intel-based Macs. Why bother getting something that rips a lot out of OSX when you can have the original? I'll probably get one of them new Macs. (Note, I am NOT an Apple guy, though I work with one and he's annoying.)

Has there ever been a movie that was shown/premiered/previewed at ANY comic convention that AICN hasn't praised as the greatest film ever?
-
hahaha Nice catch.

I did not play it at E3. I do like it very much. In fact, I think I will go unlock some planets now. It is a better frantic puzzle game than Lumines, and a far better quick play game, but less of a zen like experience. Each has its merits.

I've been playing it, a bit, on the PSP seeing as NOTHING else is coming out for the damned thing. It runs well, but the controls are a bit odd. So yes.

I would so enter that were it not for the fact that I was born in the wrong end of the 80s, seeing as the competition is for teenagers.

Colbert is the best, yes. He was also on the great but way, way, way too short lived "Dana Carvey Show" and I so wish that would get a DVD release. Apparently, Steve Carell was also on that show, which makes for a double shot of ex-Daily Show awesomeness (and yeah, Produce Pete is blah, but when he was a regular on the show he too was great.) So without them, it does kind of leave a void. I like Ed Helms, and the segments that Bob Witfong does, but neither of those would work as the second-hand-man on the show. Oh well. If the Colbert Report will be good, it's not like we're going to miss him. Also, Samantha Bee is a Torontonian

Looks like a hotel lobby, actually.

This is why Rush Hour was a genius film, shattering these old stereotypes. For the cliche white guy was replaced by the Chinese man that can't speak English perfectly. Comedy gold!

Similarly, try this quiz http://failmath.com/features/crap/ But with film, I've always liked the invisibles quizzes http://www.filmwise.com/invisibles/index.shtml
