Looks like there's a Shadowrun game. Finally.

Grand Theft Auto IV XBox 360 exclusive. That sound you hear? Sony shitting their pants.
-
Yeah, they glazed over that. No titles. No costs. No real details as to the distribution system. And they avoided mentioning a price. I know they're probably trying to finalize things, but after yesterday's $600 revelation they could have really made some noise with an affordable system. Oh well. That one tennis demo they had showed more fun than any of the calculated demos that Sony presented. Almost time for a Microsoft thread.

Yoshi's Island 2 for DS

Hmm, here I was thinking that there'd be one Zelda game that'd just be differently controllable based on what system it was in... but they're just releasing two different versions. Hmm. "The Name of the Game is still Games"

This is better than waiting for Sony's massively delayed press conference, during which they decided to play Sony's staple of old and tired music (I think they played Van Halen et al.)

It's not just the hard-drive. If you get the loser console, you also lose built-in WiFi, a multicard reader, and an HDMI port. What fucking use is Blu-Ray if you can't output to HDMI? At least with the 360, if you got the core pack you could always add-on the stuff later. How are you going to to add on an HDMI port to the PS3 if, a year later, you decide to buy yourself a new TV?

Final Fantasy III (DS), IV, V, VI and the I & II mix (GBA) aren't "real" Final Fantasies?
-
Oh great, more multi-tiered consoles $499 for the gimped version.

I don't think it's much of a surprise, however them calling it "amazing innovation" seems kind of... wrong. WarHawk looks cool though. I've always wanted a sequel.

But the Playstation is best-of-breed!!

I was watching the whole thing on GameSpot, then they decided to crap out when showing all the third party trailers. So far? YAWN. The card thing was cool, but it didn't seem all that practical. Every other game shown was kinda... dull. The most interesting thing they showed out of all of them was Loco Roco (oh wait, stream is back now. Some basketball thing. More dullness.)

From what I've heard they've had stuff and had been fishing it to various publishers for at least the last 8 months or so. Whether they've found anyone, I don't know. What that content or concept that they were fishing was, I don't know. But they definitely had things in the works, and I'd imagine that by now they're a lot further along.

heeeh like the asynchronous multiplayer that Wright is getting at in his little overview, but I'm seriously reserving judgement until it's out. I can't help but feel that the Spore is likely to cause disappointment simply because of its lofty ambitions.

They came out with the redone original trilogy DVDs and said they wouldn't release originals. They release originals. Soon, HD or Blu-Ray will catch on, and they will rerelease the original redone trilogy. After some time, they will likely release the original DVDs on HD or Blu-Ray. Some people will buy all the different versions

It was re-released a short while ago, though I really couldn't tell you what it has done to the overall availability.

Mostly, I just want to see some real-live, genuine real-time PS3 and RevWii gameplay. Like, actual user controlled stuff running off of the hardware and not off some dev kit "to spec". I want to see how much Killzone won't actually look like last year's "demo". And I want to see some "Warhawk" footage. And a "Pilotwings" announcement.

Finally a show that really reaches that central hardcore gamer demographic.
-
That's precisely why it was so good. That one ending sequence in that episode had more emotion in it than a full season of the Simpsons or the entire run of Family Guy cubed. Kind of gave me a new found respect for the writers of the show.

Real world locations make for pretty lousy FPS level design.

All you need to do is allow the embeding of Flash, then you can have as many sounds as you want!

Yeah. I ripped it off the video stream, which wasn't exactly the greatest quality.
