You've been reading Scott Miller too much. Yes, Table Tennis isn't like the prototypical Rockstar game. It isn't violent. It isn't criminal-based. Yes, Rockstar works on that image. However, in this industry, your brand means jack shit if your games suck. Quality games is as much a part of a game developers/publishers brand as much as content and presentation. Table Tennis is, *gasp*, a GOOD game. Is quality not something that you'd want to associate with your brand? And as far as the overall T2 picture is concerned, for name recognition Rockstar goes a lot further than 2K Games. Especially since it is still somewhat linked with SEGA. Why not release it under "Rockstar" since it was a Rockstar boutique title? Besides, after this whole Hot Coffee thing, that brand name could use a bit of positive (RATED E) enforcement. (I said "brand" way too often. Been working in advertising for too long )

I've always really, really liked this game <-------- right here The game is so basic, that its name is just: "Golf" But the simplicity works with it and its a very good portable game. It saves your position after every shot, so you can play for a minute or five, turn off and resume whenever. It's a basic game, but I have a soft spot for it.

What was your most embarrassing moments/embarrassing monets you caused others?

I was going for post-impressionism once and accidentally painted an impressionist landscape. It was an embarrassing monet -
Yeah, look at all those customers fighting and resisting XBox Live Arcade... which is also exactly how it works. The system keeps track of your downloads, so if you format your drive or go elsewhere, as long as you have access to your Live account, you can redownload. I think the downloads then sit within your own Live profile on the HDD and can't be accessed by the other users. Or at least not yet

Not to mention that they lost one of the key actors and had to shoe-string some of her planned plotlines into a new (lame) character. Late third, early fourth season still remains Finally saw the finale today (as Space, which was showing the full second season uninterrupted for the last few months just got to it). I missed the episode before it, though, but I think I got the general idea of what was going on. The character dynamics they set up for the next season are just getting so convoluted and complicated. Old six will likely be going for Gaius while imaginary six stays around while he still regrets for the third six... and old Sharon will probably want to see chief again, who's now married and expecting the child of the woman that killed her And for all that glossing as to what happened to all the people "one year later", they didn't really show what new Sharon's situation was. Probably still in the brig.

Bill Gates singlehandedly put more money into fighting malaria in the third-world than, like, any government in the world. Maybe even all of them. And that's only a small portion of his nearly $30 BILLION charity.

Well, this is out now and it is a no-nonsense pure gameplay experience. It does what it set out to do, and it does it really, really well.

So Quantic Dreams, of Indigo Prophecy infamy, has a sort of real time "virtual actor" demo for the PS3. The video is kinda large: http://rr.download.xferla.com:65530/mirror/britishgaming.co.uk/HEAVYRAIN_THECASTING_AVI.zip And it is so freaking creepy. Not because of any content in the demo, but because the character just looks so... close but way, way wrong. As developers push for more realism, especially with human rendering, is this kind of uncanny valley going to restrict them? Is it going to turn a lot of people off? I hope so. I can't imagine every other game with "actors" like this

Failing is right. People have already seen that. Snakes on a Plane? Now that is fresh.

What is the point of that emphasis? Both of those ARE DS games. Joke or no, that was unwatchable tripe. (Emphasis also mine)

Yeah, the US dollar is dropping fast, which is great for us non-USians. The exchange rate here hit 90 cents on the dollar for the first time in my lifetime. Great for importers. (Kinda shitty for exporters though.)

Sound a lot like that stupid horror movie that came out a few months ago. What was it called? I've forgotten already, which really shows you how quality it was. There was a thread about it here too. Basically, "game comes to life and kills people". Which isn't too far off from "game comes to life and gamers are the only hope". Wait a minute... where did I hear that one before. Hmmmm

Unfortunately, the video I wanted to link was taken down to a "terms of use violation" which was too bad because it was hilariously gross. However, I did find a gif version of it http://the-inbetween.com/dump/%5Bnsfw%5D%20chewy_jada.gif (NSFW if you're a dog).

Saw the credits, which means I beat the game. Already. Now I just have to go back and try to find a way to some of those pipes and cannons and things that I can't get to. Also need to get into World 7. Game's alright, but that Mega Mushroom is practically useless.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work so well with my avatar since its faces were so small to begin with.

[16:07] n0wak: interesting, but it's not the same without remixing all the songs from scratch... if you miss a note in this, I assume it still plays it .... [16:11] n0wak: IT WOULD STILL WORK FOR GAMES LIKE DDR THOUGH! [16:11] n0wak: Cause you don't make the music, you just play along with it!! FUN
