$250 is fine for me. And that's in US funds (gotta convert that to Canadian, though lately that's not so bad... thank you Bush ) and then add 14% tax on it (it used to be 15%... thank you Harper ). Considering you get a game, I don't think it's so bad. I paid $500 CDN for the XBox Rico Suave says the price is a'ight (Regarding the browser: the Wii has internet connectivity. This does not require a browser. However, I've read that -- in Japan at least -- the browser will be free during the launch period. Don't know how true that is.)

http://wii.com/jp/ I like the interface on some of these. Seems to work smoothly. I like how the text realigns in the news demo when scaled.

Hey! I got Hexic with my 360

No. By then, there won't be any PS3s around anymore.

I kinda remember this being around. Really, when you think about it, it's not any more weird than "Cadillacs and Dinosaurs" or "Teenage Mutant Nina Turtles" or even "Thundercats". Hell, some people really dig a show about a talking shake, fries, and wad of meat... this... this isn't so unusual by comparison.

Well, I meant that as a suggestion for another LEGO + nerd topic game. I felt a visual suggestion would work better.

YES! It does have its flaws -- a lot of them -- but I thought the game was at least worthy of a play. It helps if you approach it as more of an arcadeish space shooter than a consoleish third person actioner.

That's kind of what I did with Prey, however, I wouldn't classify that as a "bad game that's good". It's just a bad game". I worked my way through it because I was bored, had nothing else (new) to play, wanted to do some online killing, and wanted some achievement points. That was it. So that doesn't really apply to this thread.

Killer7. The most awesome shitty game ever.

I never said art style == game design. I said game design != engineering.

Consistently brilliant game engineer, yes, perhaps. As a designer? I don't know.

I just watched the original 'Solaris" last week. Great film. Have "Andrei Rublev" on tap (along with the first season of Twin Peaks ). I've been meaning to go through his film works for a while, but just hadn't had the time for it since I was going through a little bit of a French New Wave phase Also just watched "For a Few Dollars More". Again. So good. This thread hasn't been getting enough Leone loving for my taste. Recent film favourites: The Constant Gardener Head-On Three Burials of Melquiedas Estrada C.R.A.Z.Y. I guess I'm becoming a bit of a film connoiseur. Hopefully, next week I'll be hitting the film festival. Hopefully.

"Adaptation" over "Being John Malkovich"? I don't know if I can get behind that one.

Season 3 promo shots.. in SUPER HI-RES. If you ever wanted to look at Grace Park's pores, now's your chance (I'd Boom'er). This is really the only tv show that I watch anymore, so I'm eagerly anticipating season 3. Not coming soon enough

It's primarily British, but it has a very big Canadian presence. http://www.hmvgroup.com/aboutus/fastfacts.jsp According to Wikipedia Anyway.

I stand corrected. I did a quick google search and it looked like a picross game. Guess not.

I just went into HMV today and they had a brand new games section. Go figure. It was fairly barren though.
-
Dear dudes, forget about those Che/Mario shirts and those other rip offs (you know the ones.) What you all need, really, is this awesome shirt. Also maybe this one. Sincerely, me
-
Wait wait wait... HMV sells games? Oh yeah, and the game is really good too. The backtracking bits later in the game are annoying (as well as finding some of the obscure things during that part), but the game itself is really quite wicked awesome.

That's actually a very common type of puzzle game in Japan (often called Picross) -- there are tons of games like that. Hell, I made a simple one in Flash even. Personally, I liked the old Mario Picross on the original GB.
