They cramp up a lot handling devices designed for normal people?

Maybe it doesn't score me any hipness points, but I think this is worthy of anticipation. Oh, and "No More Heroes"

OMG F-Zero X dropped this week. I just recently got a Wii but I think this is definitely my first VC purchase. I loved F-Zero and F-Zero GX (despite the haters and the fair amount of SEGA cheese) and while I've always wanted to play X, I never had a chance til' now. Also, SF2: Hyper Fighting!

Or they can be the new Tengen and release it on consoles anyway...

So, uh, is anyone playing Planet Puzzle League which is a very good rendition of one of the best puzzle games EVER. They kind of spruced it up with a little (little) bit of the Q style (though the music isn't as good), cleaned it up and made it an "adult" game (no Tetris Attack avatars or Pokemon branding here), DID NO FUCKING MARKETING FOR IT AT ALL, and added WIFI play. Very good. They have a "daily play" mode so you can play it very casually. Lots of features. Very well done and very addictive. Anyone playing? Anyone up for a game?

Totally like those banned movies "Saw" and "Hostel" and "Touristas"

How many presentations and talks have you seen of Wright making about Spore? He talked about how awesome it is with freaking Brian Eno, amongst others. He talked at TED. They are fully responsible for hyping this game so far in advance of the release. Dennis Dyack might have been right

The PS2 version is rated equally and it's been said that the controls had nothing to do with the rating, it was strictly content.

http://www.cbc.ca/arts/story/2005/05/31/film050531.html It's a touchy issue. Obviously, Canada is less ban-hammer-happy than places like the UK and Australia and Germany, but being AO puts it into murky waters. If the game was rated M, I think that legally it could NOT be banned. But being AO puts it into another category so the jury's still out. One thing I'm wondering and I haven't seen addressed anywhere. The first Manhunt game was rated M. What is there in Manhunt 2 that is that much more offensive? I have a hard time thinking that the "casual sadism" has been scaled up that much from the first game. It comes across to me as a rating based more on reputation and history than the content of the game, as if the ESRB is saying "we don't want to go through that again." I've found no clear answer to this.

This is a lame ripoff of the Flight Simulator video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tcW3hbnR2EI

Reading this thread is a lot like reading a White House report on Iran or Iraq. REDACTED TO THE MAX.

Ok, it's neither Movie or TV but it totally is legitimate theatre Just saw EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL and it was about as awesome as it sounds. It's a mostly faithful adaptation of the film. There's a decent amount of blood and guts (Yes, there was a "SPLATTER ZONE"). Pretty hilarious at times and it has a bunch of catchy numbers like "Do the Necronomicon" and "What the fuck was that?" If it ever makes it to your part of the (cabin in the) woods, definitely check it out.

DRIVE BY MOLESTERS using their DSs to molest your children... before crashing into that oncoming vehicle because they were using DSs while driving.

I'm so waiting for this DVD. Saw it at the Midnight Madness last fall as part of TIFF, which is basically what it sounds like ... midnight screenings of "fringe" movies to a raucous, mostly university aged crowd. It wasn't the best movie I saw last year, but definitely -- with that crowd, especially -- the most fun. Thinking about that foot scene still makes me laugh and cringe.

A cynic could argue that, despite SSB not being the most technical of fighters, that there hasn't been any fighting game that has successfully pulled off online play. But the optimist would point to Small Arms. I remember playing that online against some random douchebags (and that's another thing -- do you really want to play against some of these hardcore Smash Brothers fans? I fucking don't) and thinking to myself -- this could be totally awesome if it wasn't a totally gimped, weak version of Smash Brothers. I hope it does go online, but I wouldn't hold your breath.

Yeah, I'd suggest getting a second board. It's not needed -- I think playing on a laptop is perfectly fine -- but it has its benefits. The worst thing I found about playing on a laptop is that games tend to push laptops quite a bit and they get a little bit warm, and since the keyboard is on the system it warms up too. Playing a game on a laptop on a warm day tends to create some sweaty palms. That's not so pleasant.

Man, I was just looking at this. Amazing. Yuzo Koshiro, Koji Kondo, Yasunori Mitsuda and Kenji Yamamoto contributing music to the same game? Sold! Who cares how the game plays, it's all about how it sounds. (And where's the Uematsu listing? I thought he did the main theme?)

Dude. I was all excited about Catan and the Halo 3 beta and the new Crackdown content and then the spring update came and bricked my XBox. You'd be depressed too

Try dealing with FOUR left So I welcome this. In fact, I think this whole pack -- paid or otherwise -- is quite awesome and definitely will get it. Or, rather, I will want to get it since, unfortunately:

I requested to join but haven't seen anything back. Every rock band needs a hipster trumpet player.
