I can imagine that it would be. Also, I just found out that a friend-(ish)'s film has been picked up for the Calgary Film Festival: "Rock Paper Scissors".

Yeah. I've been busy finishing Bioshock AND going through a 500 page program guide and schedule to decide what movies I want to see for the Toronto Film Festival. This shit's hard work. But oh so worth it. Oh, and Bioshock. Final Impressions:  Short and sweet ending. A bunch of small things bug me with the storyline (some parts were obvious) and some minor issues with gameplay, including some weird bugs I encountered, but yeah... definitely best SHOOTER of the year.

That's totally The Thirteenth Floor with a "The Sims" influence.

By getting a game license that is older than their demographic? To what under-25 year old youth is the 25 year old Joust name of any relevance?

I have it but it's sort of sitting there while I finish up Bioshock. I'm excited for a new Metroid but I'm sort of dreading this Metroid because of everything I've seen thus far. Yeah, the reviews are positive but still... something feels off. In fact, right now I think Bioshock is out-Metroiding Metroid if that makes sense

Yeah, it's linear but it's never linear in the same way so I'm willing to forgive it a bit. There are scripted events, for sure, but the roaming Big Daddies can mix things up a lot in places. There's this one big firefight in this one place* that, when I got there, happened to have a Big Daddy and Little Sister going through. I got into the room and all the Splicers were going for the Little Sister while the Big Daddy was fighting them back. It was nice. Saved me some precious bullets and all I had to do was creep in from behind and plunder all the dollars and parts from the corpses. *

Was the move called "Sweep the leg"?

I'm more bothered by that masturbatory Raiden vs Vamp ridiculathon in the previous trailer. But yes, it IS getting stupid. I mean, it's always been over-the-top. Especially number two. But in 2's defense, that game was meant to be taken as you controlling a character in a video game simulation of a fictional world instead of, as in 1 and 3, a character in a video game world. That was its excuse. What's the excuse here?

I thought this was going to be about Bearforce1. And as for creepiness, yes, Lazy Town does attract all the pedopervs of the internet, as can be seen here.

First thing I do when I play is find the magazines that give bladed weapons ,tools, and toys 3 times life... and then get the mini-chainsaws off the clown. Virtually ever lasting chainsaws! The only way to travel. Also, one thing that is useful is one of the cocktails that you can make turns you to "zombie bait". If you are escorting crowds this helps since the zombies focus on you and not the brain-damaged people running around hopelessly behind you.

You can't rationalize it so don't even try. These are the same people that created the Left Behind game and sent it to servicemen in the army (not the same developers, I mean kooky Christians in general). A game that's all about killing non-Christians but the developers would tell you is not violent. Play this instead http://www.zefrank.com/christian/index.html

CENSORSHIP Seriously, that "news", once it gets out it gets out. YOU CAN'T REDACT WHEN THERE'S GOOGLE CACHE!

And Yet It Moves ?

The movie is fairly good but it's MASSIVELY over-rated. There was a poll (Guardian?) that had it listed as the best foreign-language film ever, which is ridiculous. It's been a while since I watched it but it was kind of sappy and sentimental.

Time to dig out your good clothes, you're going to WalMart

Just finished watching the mini-series The Corner. Wow. Great stuff. Not as great, dramatically, as The Wire but that much more real. It also made me appreciate the casting for The Wire that much more. A lot of the druggie/dealer characters here were recast, in The Wire, as cops.

I didn't even hear that orb. I was doing some stunts in Los Muertos and was exploring that area because I figured I've been on EVERY rooftop and the only place a single orb could possibly be would be low to the ground in the early part of the game. And, yup, caught something in the corner of my eye and there it was... an orb. A level one agility orb. As for hidden orbs, about 275 You get an achievement. That is all.
-
I just found my 500th Agility Orb! Yeah. I like this game. Me and a bud spent like 20 minutes trying to get to a hidden orb on a bridge over Live a few days ago. It sounds dull but, I don't know, the appeal of it is hard to describe. Kind of reminds me of grade school and walking around the woods with friends looking for hidden stashes of porn.
