Been, er, hearing about it at work all day. :tup: The second half of the album is especially fantastic. "We Carry On". "Machine Gun", which is like what would happen if you had Portishead in some dystopian future Vangelis-soundscape. "Small" which is Portishead + psychrock synths (yes). And the whole thing ends with this ominous drone that's like straight out of some sci-fi epic. It's very different but still distinctively Portishead. I thought over a decade to create a new album would be a hard legacy to follow, but

I was just going to post that. I think that's considerably different. It's mostly photo manipulation which is clearly not quite the same thing as CGI.

I managed to do it doing pretty much that. Just snag two raptors, find an area with some nice jumps and fly, release, pick them up again and repeat. I think I was at about 35 seconds total doing it.

Holy crap, I played some Sunn O))) and it might be drone-y with no beat, but it was the most "notes" I've seen thrown my way in this game yet. Impressive. And, as I said, playing Rez music works wonderfully! As for song, here's one: http://www.symbionproject.com/ (bottom right button, download synthesized. It's from Amplitude so it feels oddly suitable. Also obscure enough to not have a cluttered leaderboard. Also, it's kinda hard.)

YES! The challenge has been THROWN DOWN. I haven't tried it yet, but I'd like to see how Audio Surf would handle (or any kind of drone metal) or maybe even some . PS: Playing music from Rez is fun.

I've been playing it. Logged on to Steam for the first time in months to play it (add me: n0wak . Also invite me to the idle thumbs community!) it's fun with really frantic shit like Venetian Snares, but all that more out there music obviously has no one on the leaderboards. I guess that's the con of letting each level be any song in the history of the world. We should pick an "idle thumbs official song" and use that for leaderboards

Advance Wars with online play (haven't tried it yet) == 'nuff said.

I know that in some places it's en vogue to hate on GTA. It's violent and boorish and the controls aren't even all that good. A lot of people take the game way too seriously. But, I can't help it. I still love me some GTA action precisely because it is the total opposite of serious: absurd and self-referential. I love all the references to films and pop-culture and the little goofy, humourous touches they sprinkle around the game's more "serious" storyline. And hey, I know it's pure marketing but the new GTA IV site has me more excited for the game than all three trailers combined. Why? Because it has stuff like this and this and Sprunk and, my favourite, Banging Trash Can Lids For an Hour. This is something that all those GTA-clones, even if they have better controls or better graphics, totally miss. Man, I hope that April 29th date doesn't change.

The only one that comes to mind is the one up on the hill near the egg. Going through the valley there it's right up on the right side (past the egg). Like, right up high near the barrier. I just found it by dumb luck.
