Also: Hollywood, Mon Amour. Which is essentially Nouvelle Vague, with with bonus 80s soundtrack cheese. It's awesome. And does this count? http://www.biglionmusic.com/music/arrangements/other-arrangements/thriller-vrc6-cover

The greatest headlines in the world (and other weird news stories)

Unfortunately, nothing in 2008 topped 2007's best. -
You can play it either by tilting the thing or dragging your finger across the screen. It's pretty playable either way, it's just a matter of preference. Personally, I find the tilting control to be a little too touchy and just stick with dragging. You better practice this because it becomes an essential skill in the later stages. It's quite devious. Especially this one part on level 25...

Don't worry. It's OK here: we hate all video games equally. Or is it "video games"?

I'm watching this right now. Enjoying it a lot. It has Ziggy in it! This is like the most-depressing mini series ever. It has Freamon in it! ---- Just saw Revolutionary Road Pretty good article I saw last month: Why Does Hollywood Hate the Suburbs. The movie kinda gets into my head in that I have similar ambitions to escape suburbia and go to Paris, except I feel less holding me back than the main couple did. No spouse either. And before that I watched 4 months, 3 weeks, 2 days. Cheery fucking lot of films/series that I'm watching.

The weird thing is that when they look outside of their borders, their reporting is far far better than anything the US can muster. But when they look within their own borders at stabbings or celebrity culture or anything... :frusty:

It's a pretty good design. What's not obvious from the start, too, is that each level is generative so each playthrough is different. This might make some situations that are, well, less than ideal. But I do like how the better you do (save lots of people) the harder it becomes (get more officers). You're in control of how difficult you want it to be.

Idle Thumbs 13: Manipulated Through Time
n0wak replied to Chris's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
Hey, I just noticed you guys are ranked #9 in "Top Podcasts" in iTunes' "Games & Hobbies" section. Better yet, you are the #1 podcast with an tag. -
Aren't there two separate DS versions? Which one did you play? I think the newer one is better than the old one. (I'm building the city of Juno on my iPod right now.)

Resurrecting this old thread because there've been a lot of good games for the iDevice lately. I've been enjoying SimCity A very competent port. Some complain about bugs/crashes, but I haven't encountered any. Space Deadbeef. FREE side scrolling shooter that is fairly impressive visually and has a good interface -- it plays kind of like a Rez/Panzer Dragoon "lock-on" type of game. Oh yeah, and it's FREE. Edge  Play this, it's awesome. BUY NOW

Idle Thumbs 13: Manipulated Through Time
n0wak replied to Chris's topic in Idle Thumbs Episodes & Streams
This was my first impression of London. Getting on the Tube at Heathrow for Cockfosters. I thought it was stupidly funny, but I was rather jetlagged so anything was probably funny to me, like St. John's Wood. -
