  1. do zombies have to pooh?

Since it's apparentely a gameplay mechanic in Stubbs the Zombie, I would say that yes, zombies fart.
  2. BFME2 - Another reason to hate EA!

I have to say that preview was hilarious. It's essentially "we're reverting back to standard RTS form, but keeping all the original units and adding stuff ripped from other games. Also, we have invented an amazing, never-before-done strategy we like to call 'flanking' ".
  3. Half-Life 2: Aftermath

I'm pretty sure that was there. I remember getting behind it and pushing until I was close enough to grenade the Combine machine gunner.
  4. Those are great. My favorite line so far (from the season finale):
  5. Title

    Yes.
  6. Potatoes

Just to capitalize on the plant and differing spelling threads...
  7. Potatoes

    German, right? (or something close)
  8. Excellent player feedback

And red! Don't forget red! Although Crayola got sued for "Indian Red"...
  9. Videogames or video games

Yeah, if I was on a deserted island I'd want some kind of MMO game, despite the fact I usually don't play those because I don't like games that never end... but in this case a lack of ending would be good. Also, video games. video games is just awkward.
  10. My favorite game of all time...

I've got a copy somewhere around here, I think.
  11. Fahrenheit Demo Out

    Care to elaborate?
  12. nasa and space

Or rather something unlike the X-33/Venture Star, since it didn't work.
  13. Fahrenheit Demo Out

You can move the camera around to see the face... Ragnar reveals all! Regarding Fahrenheit: I managed to make the guy go crazy.
  14. Doom Movie Trailer Out

It reminded me of the Sci-Fi channel's Saturday night craptackulars.
  15. Fahrenheit Demo Out

You can also take the subway; it's behind the back door/fire exit. Yeah, the demo doesn't really illustrate the most interesting features of Fahrenheit (mulitlineraity, multiple characters) but it does give a feel for the game, I guess. There are lots of ways to get out, and lots of stuff to do, but none of it really matters in the demo. You can walk out without washing or anything and just run out to the subway if you want, and it's the same as if you carefully stowed the body, cleaned up, paid your bill, and walked calmly out. (I suppose the mental state thing will affect the game; by doing everything possible you can get the guy back up to neutral.) The character controls do take some getting used to; the fixed cameras provide interesting viewpoints but hinder the gameplay, IMO. (Incidentally, Dreamfall recently switched from fixed cameras to regular old third-person view/control. Yay.) Also, does anyone know what exactly happened to the knife? When you pick it up Cain says he has to "dispose of it" and then you see a shot of the diner and then it goes back to Cain, who's wiping his hands.
  16. Fahrenheit Demo Out

Only for the North American release, AFAIK.
  17. I agree with everything Duncan said. The only thing I'd add is that finally Apollo is a little more than just the standard male idealistic hero and female audience attractor. (The fact that he has no one on his side is rather ironic, too.) Oh yeah, and Baltar's dream was really freaky... I mean, I knew it was a dream/hallucination from the start and it wasn't really graphic but it was still disturbing. It reminded me of The Grapes of Wrath, of all things...
  18. Gabe Newell bashes next gen consoles

So, in short, people are morons?
  19. Longhorn sounding funnier every day

The topic title certainly has it right.
  20. San Andreas (PC)

Saving Private Ryan should have been NC-17. Will Wright is the game industry's Steven Spielberg.
  21. Sky One partially funded the first season, but not the second. Walter: From spoilers I've read, Zarek returns this season as a much more likable character (or at least as likable as characters get on BSG): And Six is good when she's given the chance to do something other than have sex, IMO.
  22. San Andreas (PC)

Because it wouldn't sell as much then...?
  23. I love Battlestar Galactica (the new one). I agree the premier was kind of blah compared to the finale (which would be really hard to live up to, it was awesome). I think what I really like about Battlestar Galactica is the huge (comparatively) number of recurring characters and all the development they get. Tigh, Gaeta, Tyrol (aka Chief), Cally, and Helo aren't even regular characters, though they appear in pretty much every episode (and now Tigh's had two episodes just about him). That was one weak thing about the premier, though -- Cpt. Kelly hasn't been shown since the miniseries, so his appearance is sort of "Hi! I'm here for the needs of the plot!" Marek: I'm curious, what did you think was the weak episode in Season 1? (I didn't really like "Act of Contrition", the fourth episode or so with all the flashbacks about Zak Adama, although it did set up the excellent "You Can't Go Home Again", the episode after that, where Adama and Lee tie up the fleet searching for Starbuck)
  24. Intro Sequences in Games

What is with the sudden surge of necromancy? Err... I liked the intro to Red Alert (1). Also, Far Cry's intro was... interesting. It didn't really work in the context of the game, though.
