My what? I have no idea what you just said. But if you'll tell me how to fix what's broken, it would make me somewhat happy.

This psychonauts site is a fucking mystery. Some times I get into the real thing, with the screenshots and the downloadable trailers and stuff, and sometimes I just get into Majescos own little site that features a couple of screenshots and tiny bits of info. Two completely different sites, one that is totally awesome and one that is stupid and lame, through the same address. Incredibly annoying.

Wow, that looks incredible and beautiful. Incredibly beautiful. What kind of a game is it?
-
Wow. I like the background art, although the character(s?) seem kinda out of place. Still, it sortof reminds me of Triplets in some way as well. And since The Triplets of Belleville is one the best damn films ever, that can only be a good thing.

I think it's the Second Coming.

Btw, why is this idle banter and not general gaming?

I've only got a PS2, but if I got to choose between the other two, I'd probably go with Xbox. I'm sure the Cube's got some great games, but I've probably missed most of them, as I've only been playing the earlier games. Like Chris mentioned, Pikmin is truly awesome, and I kinda like Wind Waker as well (the parts I've played anyway) and SSBM in good company. Still, Halo. Yep, Halo is still the main reason for me to get an Xbox. I've played it loads of times, finished a couple of times as well, but find it just as awesome every time I play it. And then you've got Ninja Gaiden, Silent Hill 2, Pro Evolution Soccer 4 (with Live support I imagine!), Shenmue 2 and some more awesome games that I can't really recall at this late hour. Oh, and Psychonauts. So, yeah, I'd go for the Xbox.

Fuck yeah! This game is gonna be so incredibly awesome. I have a hard time grasping just how awesome it'll be. My expectations are... high, to say the least, especially since ICO probably is my favourite game, ever, or one of 'em at least.

Actually, they're not. I downloaded some sort of emulated version of Knightmare 2 for Windows, and it's still pretty awesome, along with being the ultimate nostalgia trip. Also, I realised how fucking huge the game really is, consisting of one castle map and ten smaller level maps. I think I never got past the first two levels or something. Being four or five years old, I'm not sure I knew what I was doing. But at least I knew that I had fun!

Yeah! I'm quite sure that was my first gaming platform as well. I'm not actually sure, I can't really remember the machine/computer/platform itself, being a bit too young at the time perhaps, but I damn sure remember the first game I loved and played to death - the completely awesome Knightmare 2: The Maze of Galious - and that was apparently released for MSX, so I guess that's what we had...

You must be so lucky. I ought to move to Ireland. I mean; Yarrr..?

fun fact: Beefheart actually made a real trout mask to run around with. I'd like to meet him, he seems like an interesting chap. -

Ooh, you should definitely listen to the other two. They are, in order from left to right, Asylum by a british symphonic progressive band called Cressida, and Ladies and Gentlemen We're Floating in Space by a more modern, albeit just as brilliant, psychedelic/space rock band called Spiritualized (closely connected to Spacemen 3, if you know about them). Anyway, rock album of the week: Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band - Trout Mask Replica -
I was about to, but I couldn't be bothered. Anyway, since I'm already replying... Doppelganger!

I need to listen to music to function, like, at all. That said, I pick different kinds of music depending on the work I'm about to do, if it involves reading and/or writing, I might put on some instrumental jam or IDM and ambient shit. But then again, working? I listen to all kinds of music when I procrastinate, which is what I do most of the time.

I was going to say Halo, for all the reasons mentioned in this thread. Multiplayer, preferably co-op, makes it one of the best games I have ever played. I'm just so amazed that it's just as incredibly fun to pick up and play, all the time, any time, ever. But, then someone mentioned Silent Hill 2, and since that may just be the best game ever created, I might have to go with that one. Tough call though. (Btw, I expect Burnout 3 to be awesome. I've played the second game with my friends for an insane amount of hours.)

Chris, so for me that love Lift yr..., do you still recommend me to listen to their earlier stuff before progressing to the lastest one, or might I just as well head directly for Yanqui U.X.O., which I've heard good things about..? -

By Godspeed... you should definitely try Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven. It's actually the only one of their (four?) releases I've heard, yet, but it's a complete masterpiece. It's basically the only record I've been listening to for the last days. Incredible. Two CD's, four tracks, 90 minutes of awesomeness. Captain Beefheart one the other hand... he's interesting enough. Not one of my favourites (mentioned him since I've been trying to get into some of his stuff about now), but interesting and, apparently, hugely influential. I'd say his debut, Safe As Milk, is the best way to get into it, and then you've got Trout Mask Replica which probably is the most inaccessible album, ever (and supposedly his masterpiece, although I don't really get that, yet). A song suggestion might be Making Love to a Vampire with a Monkey on my Knee - I haven't heard it yet, though, but I like the title. -

Too bad, otherwise you could have replaced it with something by Captain Beefheart or Godspeed You Black Emperor. -
How does this feeding/eating thing work? Do you have to eat regularly..? Also, keep up the screen pimpin'! I can't be bothered to look them up elsewhere, so please post all the cool ones in this very thread.

Haven't tried any on that list. And, at least for the moment, I keep myself from doing so. I feel alcohol is enough for me, and I know that I couldn't replace it with one of those drugs. I wouldn't call it an 'interest', but I take great pleasure in exploring the diverse world of beers, preferably british ale and czech lager. And I can't see myself choosing one of those drugs over a whisk(e)y or a cold Gin & Tonic. So, I'll stick with alcohol. To stay on topic; If I would pick one, though, it'd be cannabis.

Btw, Ninja Gaiden is awesome as well. Woo!
