Hell, it was Microsoft before. I don't think EA Games is a step in either direction... Besides, at least they'll have the resources to advertise Psychonauts as much as possible, to boost sales in what is otherwise a really bad time to release a game... I would have thought. Quite frankly, as long as the Publisher has money and resources, who cares? It won't change the people behind the game. It won't change the developers, the designer, or the game itself. What's important is that Psychonauts gets a chance to live. Not much good being published by The Adventure Company when you're dead. Hey, come to think of it... what about LucasArts? P.S. I bet you can't think of a single time I have lied.

Who is Andy? Why does he think I'm a liar? Why does everybody think this? February is a bad month for me. I'll have no time to play it until Easter, because of my Exams and Work. Also, February is a bad month for Double Fine. Most games are sold around the Christmas Season, I believe, and February seems a little too far on the other side of Christmas to even benefit from exchanged unwanted gifts. Psychonauts will be full price where other stuff has come down in the sales, and everybody is back at school. And it's too far from any other holiday to benefit from those, either. My money is on EA Games, by the way.

Okay, it's working again... my keyboard has actually gone insane. You guys don't believe me. I know you think I lie, but why would I lie about this? I only live about funny things, like living in San Francisco (which isn't even a lie). He's like Dennis, except Dennis never did anything to this scale. Why would he hit a keyboard? Why would he destroy a car? Why would he do these things? Would any of you done them when YOU were little? What kind of reception did he expect me to greet him with when I found out my keyboard was broken? What? What? What?!??? I am seething crazy angry.

Yes Its Real And Now My Caps Lock Is Stuck. My Keyboard Doesn't Like Being Punched. I Wonder If Oscar Does. EDIT IDLE THUMBS HAS AN ANTI CAPSLOCK THING, HURRAY. ANYWAY, I GUESS ITS NOT NORMAL BEHAVIOUR FOR A LITTLE BOY THEN...

Speak for yourself. I didn't get a word of it.

LucasArts had it right with the Grim/MI3/MI4 startup thing... Start Game, Load Game etc. If you clicked Start Game, you'd start from the beginning with the logos and intro. If you clicked Load Game, you go straight to your last saved game. No messing around skipping the intro before you can load your game or anything like that. Something that kills me is when there isn't a good enough intro or ending. Best example I can think of is MI3... a gorgeous, lavish intro, and some beautiful cutscenes throughout the rest of the game... and you get to the end and...? What the hell was that!?

:D This is the best thread ever.

Whoa I... just sensed a disturbance in the Force...

Ugh, Beneath a Steel Sky... incredibly bad opening. I know it was comic book style and all, and I'm accounting for that. But the voice acting was awful and either too loud or you couldn't understand a word they were saying. And I thought the comic book action was badly laid out. Okay, I enjoyed the rest of it after that one comic book bit, though.

I don't know... I like one logo, especially if I like the company that developed the game. I don't like a whole bunch. I can't remember a game offhand that had something like 6 logos at the start, but I definitely remember playing them and hating them. I think Discworld might have had an excessive amount of logos. Can't remember.

Arnold S., Governor of California, has apparently outraged women, gay men, gay women, democrats, and his opponents by regarding his opposition as 'girlie men'. The Governor then went on to insult gamers all over the world by saying this: "We want action, not games. We want action, not dialogue. We want action, not the promises. We want action and not the lies that are up there in Sacramento and Double Fine." He then promised to terminate his opponents, turned on his heel, tripped up, regained his balance, and walked stiffly away, pretending it was supposed to have happened. Read all about it

It's not my fault I live in San Francisco and you don't. I am sorry you are jealous. Perhaps if I described how beautiful and cool this city is, and how much free love and music and art there is, it would make you feel better?
-
Good. I would be angry at you but the weather is too good. Here, in San Francisco. I am sorry to hear you live in Norway, by the way.

Stevan, do you think I should try telling people when I'm trying to drop hints so they can turn on their hint detectors and possibly take some hints, maybe, perhaps?

Judge not lest yeeeeee be judged. Yours is great.

I don't think the industry treats women badly. I mean, if women don't like games, more fool them. They have the sims, that seems to keep them happy. Okay, women are often highly sexualized in video games, but that's because they're highly sexual beings.

So... am I the only one reading this conversation on two different levels?

I prefer them all the most. But Nathan sounds hot.

Tell me everything you know about Apple Macs. Am I calling them the right name? Are they cool? Not cool? What are they good for? What are they not good for? Why are they less popular than ordinary PCs? Is there much of a difference? Why don't I know these things? Why is there no right mouse button? What are the specs? What's with the sexy design? Things like that. I need all your brain meat, fat and all.

Okay, so this thread is a big compilation of all of the retro games you can think of. Because sometimes I will see the name of a game I'd played and enjoyed and forgotten about, and yeah. You know. Only post the names of games you liked! Okay, I'll start. PC Warcraft, Commander Keen I - VI, Battle Bugs, Micro Machines, Quarantine, 7th Guest, Monkey Island I - III, Rise of the Triad, Doom I - II, Heretic, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, Sam n Max, Theme Park, Syndicate, Alone in the Dark I - II, Jazz Jackrabbit, Duke Nukem, Wordsearch, Quake, Descent, Flashback, Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes, Grim Fandango, Zool, Paws of Fury, Lemmings, Prince of Persia, Pizza Tycoon, The Horde, Framed! Ironman, Comanche Maximum Overkill!!!, F16 SPECTRUM ALL the Dizzy games, Manic Miner, Jet Set Willy I know I will remember more. I'll try to compile a huge, pointless list of Retro Games that people enjoyed, along with their publisher/developer and year of release and platform or whatever. And maybe upload it for easy reference. Or whatever. See how it goes. All platforms welcome. Start... NOW! No, wait. Under this line. NOW!!!
