Misogynist!!! No. I just went and loaded it. It certainly looks like a more manly version of solitaire. But I've forgotten how to play. I didn't know Windows XP had a Pinball Game before. But it's a crap pinball game so it doesn't count. Jesus Chris! No it's not! No it's not! Where are you getting this shit from!?! That stuff isn't fun at all! Have you ever tried furnishing a house or raising a family? Girls think it's fun.

I really, really, really despise the Sims. Most people I have ever met that play the Sims, are girls that play it when they can't remember where they left the Windows Solitaire shortcut on the desktop. Some girls play it because it's super-cute, and super-cool to play The Sims. Some girls play it because they like matching boys and girls up, or something like that. I think I've met one guy who played The Sims, and he didn't like admitting it. He went pure red in the face when he told me. The Sims is made, pretty much, for girls, or for very, very girly men that think it's super-cute. I can't find words to describe how much I hate it, but I have to hand it to the developers: they broke into a very difficult, shitty, shallow market. It irritates some deep, hidden-away part of my soul when I go to a friend's house and ask if they have any Consoles or PC games, and they say, "Yes, I have The Sims and all the Expansion Packs, but when I loaded the latest expansion on it broke my PC and now there's no gigahertz left and it won't turn on so I can't load the new expansion pack so we're probably going to get a new PC because that one is two years old anyway." I mean, those were pretty much Breda's EXACT WORDS and it made me want to slap her. For so many reasons. So many, many reasons. I'm going to buy The Sims 2, because I want to be able to continue to hate this awful, awful franchise and be able to back up and justify my hatred. Besides the fact it's a game played by and aimed at the most shallow, screwed up market sector ever, since like, whatever, HIPPIES or something... it's also a shit game. If you go for that sort of thing, get Civ III or something. It's like The Sims, but completely different and AWESOME. And if you're getting Civ III, get Civ II instead, because it's better and Civ III is fucked up. I hate girls and The Sims and girls and solitaire. But especially The Sims.

But that makes no sense. I don't understand that. As far as I know, it came pretty high, for an adventure game, in the PS2 top rental chart in Xtra Vision and Blockbuster, in Ireland at least. And what's this shit about the American opening to Can't Come Quickly Enough being slightly fucking different, and renaming the Harry Potter movies so that Americans can understand them??? Are you guys really that different from everybody else, or do Marketing People need to be fired and replaced with robots? (hint: Marketing People need to be fired and replaced with robots). Would you have bought less copies of BS3 for the PS2 than we would?

But PC World? I don't think so. And why didn't they sell the PS2 version in the US?

An imaginary conversation between two imaginary employees of the company that made Fable that I can't think of the name of, as presented by Gabe. Okay, I know it seems niggly and stuff to point this out, but I'd like to point out that the girl is the one pointing out the 'game fucking sucks'. Too bad it's an imaginary conversation. I don't know. I can't quite put my finger on it. It feels odd and almost out of place that Gabe has put a female in the role of the better game designer in this post. And it shouldn't, but it does. Even in my own imagined conversations, I don't picture a female in the role of the one pointing out design faults. Not that it's something I try to imagine on a daily basis, but still. *sigh*. Like I said, I can't quite put my finger on why I'm even posting this, but it just tugged a heart string. I do wish more game sites and whatnot would acknowledge females a little more. I do sometimes feel a little out of place as a gamer, and it's nice to have people like Gabe offhandedly mention girl designers/whatever in posts like that as though it's the most natural thing in the world. Don't get me wrong. It's not like I actively mind going on to sites like PA and rarely having females mentioned at all. My point is, it's nice when they are mentioned. I don't know what I'm trying to say. Maybe somebody else can figure it out for me. It was just nice. Once you've figured out what I'm trying to say, I think Idle Thumbs should try to acknowledge female gamers a bit more. Not in an obvious, forced, false kind of fashion. Articles written by girls would be nice. Maybe female opinions on the games you review. Or something. Whatever. Do what Penny Arcade does, and fake conversations between girls and guys! I know it's hard because naturally, since most gamers are guys, and you're catering for gamers... but still. EDIT: Now I've just gone and added that suggestion on the end of the thread after I initially posted it, it's rendered it 'wrong forum material'. Go team ME!

Yeah, sorry. Originally it wasn't really relevant to the gaming forum, so I posted it in Idle Banter. But then I had some afterthoughts and added bits to it, so it became... non-Idle Banter material. We do, yeah. I'm not saying we don't.

I think we should solve the underlying problem here, which is that girls are stupid. Yeah, no, yeah. No, I know that. Jeez, what do you think I take you guys for? Shhh. Awesome contribution! I'm just making a suggestion. Idle Thumbs is awesome, and I think maybe you guys are thinking I'm saying that you're not or something. If you looked for a couple of second opinions from girls or whatever, it would be a little bit of effort that would go a long way, and help you stand out from other sites.

I never really played it properly on the PC, so I can't compare. But yeah, I had no complaints about it. Well, graphically, at least. EDIT: Shut up, Jake. What the hell is 'Psychonauts'?
