  1. That's me...

Neverending Story did rock. Here is the way I read it; 1. Put lots of cushions in my window and curled up there on rainy days, with all the rain beating down the window. 2. Spread peanut butter thickly on chunky bread. 3. Made strong coffee. 4. Put on cosy slippers and made a hot water bottle. 5. Read book. I'm telling you, it's the only goddamn way to read that book. Man, it was awesome.
  2. Deadworm and Trep

Here's a thread, just for you two. Now you can talk constantly about having sex with yourselves, each other, or other people, without having to keep track of all the other threads you've messed up!!! Man, I don't even have to ask for this thread to be made sticky; you two can see to that for me!!! Now there's not only no reason for you to post sexual innuendos all over the place, there's no reason for you to post outside of this thread ever, AT ALL!!! And after about a year, you can publish it in a book of your memoirs, and call it another 100 strokes of the brush before bed!!
  3. Billy Wilson

 I only just found this out reading back-updates from Loonyboi's blog. Since somebody at GamingGroove mentioned candles burning at both ends, and Billy not lasting the night, it reminded me of this; My candle burns at both ends It will not last the night But oh my friends, and oh my foes, It gives a lovely light. I don't know whether Roald Dahl wrote it or merely pilfered it, but that's what I'm doing now; pilfering it. Rest in style, man.
  4. Question for Americans

Is it true that most american guys are circumsized?

  8. i want rose online bots or ryl

That was extremely clever, and I have to congratulate you on what seems like a slightly different viral marketing technique than normal. On the other hand, fuck off, you fuckin' fuckhead.
  9. Tim in EGM (Lots o' random pictures)

Yes. because the Action News is self aware.
  10. Sondheim

Once, when I was 4, I got up in the middle of the night to listen to my Rosie and Jim tape. Earlier on, my Dad had taken it out of the player to listen to The Ballad of Sweenie Todd. It was dark because I couldn't reach the lights. I pressed play. I've never been so fucking terrified in my life.
  11. Sondheim

I don't know for sure, but Rosie and Jim have definitely been around longer than a few years. Maybe they only started showing repeats recently, but I remember watching Rosie and Jim when I was but a tiny tot.
  12. Praise the Lord!!!

Then I recommend Final Fantasy 1 through 50.
  13. Sondheim

I assume you've never heard The Ballad of Sweeny Todd, then.
  14. Sondheim

Imagine two little puppets that live on a boat that floats along the London Canals, and they sing lovely songs to each other. That is Rosie and Jim. Imagine thousands of Londoners screaming as a demon Barber from Fleet Street cuts their throats while he's shaving them, and then turns their dead flesh into pies which he sells to unsuspecting ladies every morning. That is The Ballad of Sweenie Todd.
  15. Kurt Cobain

....Okay. WHOA, I JUST GOT MY TELEPHONE BILL. HEART. STOPPED.
  16. Xbox2

    Because they're the second ones.
  17. Time for a new Psychonauts thread

Split personality bastard, has me all figured out. He must have read the forums at some point if he knew that Stevan's avatar was Che Guevara. I suspect he's a frequent forum lurker on a few different forums. He's also the only reader of the COT that I'm aware of. I'm proud that the COT is in a list of 'things worth reading', even if it's simply because he admires our complete lack of news. But he is definitely not one to talk about people pretending to be other people keeping diaries instead of presenting actual news.
  18. i want rose online bots or ryl

  19. The A-Team

But that's pretty much the only role I could have been any good for.
  20. Seen any good movies lately?

Most Excellent: Blazing Saddles, The Producers, and Young Frankenstein... most excellent movies. It's hard to choose which I laughed hardest at... I guess Young Frankenstein, since it brought me to tears a few times. Laughter tears, not girly tears. Spirited Away. Also good: Citizen Kane, especially the bits that reminded me of Grim Fandango... a good movie, but mostly because of the style, because I didn't care much for the story... Oh, and that movie where Bing Crosby is doing Grace Kelly offscreen. And Song for a Raggy Boy. Mediocre Good: See No Evil Hear No Evil (let down by crude sexual humour, 80's humour, bad humour, and one entire scene where the deaf guy has an entire open conversation with the blind guy, while looking through a pair of binoculars), Team America. Not good at all: Buster, starring Phil Collins.
  21. Tra la la, what a beautiful day!

I don't think I can find words to describe how much I want to see that movie. I've combed the entire city of Ireland in search of it, and now I've ordered a Laser Card just to order it online. I didn't even have to click that link, because I know you're talking about The Frisco Kid.
  22. Tra la la, what a beautiful day!

Uh, believe it or not, no it doesn't. The internal modem is wasted, and I never got around to buying an external one for it since using I use THIS PC for the internet. I'll get them eventually. But you'd be doing it for me, and I am sort of awesome, maybe. Okay, maybe not, but I'm sure it wouldn't be two hours. How many people could there be in New York, after all? I guess this isn't the time to mention it, but we really have very different opinions on a lot of things.
  23. Tra la la, what a beautiful day!

Yufster says:I always get mailing list crap from Blue Black records Yufster says: I only keep it because it's vaguely related to Tim Schafer in some way Shattered Sponge says: Ooh! It's the one where they have loadsa signings. Shattered Sponge says: Guess who's signing there in, like, a week. Yufster says: Gene Wilder? Shattered Sponge says: Yeah. Yufster says: Whoa, lucky guess
