Even though I am not "them", yes they did: http://www.idlethumbs.net/display.php?id=112
  2. Nintendo, I love you.

    To summarize my feelings:
  3. Kutaragi delivers karate chop to rivals

Can't say that it comes close to the level of confusion that Kojima delivered, even though it is pretty stupid.

I have a DVD player that serves me just fine, but I still see the big deal. Say you want to go out and live in the wilderness, or something similar. You want to bring a couple of movies with you, as well some of those awesome games you have. Now, if the console lacks DVD playback you'll have to bring a DVD player as well, which really isn't very practical. Of course, you could leave either movies or games at home, but where's the fun in that?
  5. Nintendo Revolution

It is supposed to be an extension to the GB product line, not a successor, whatever that means. I doubt it will add anything new though, so it's basically a GBA SP with an even smaller screen. It's bound to be cheap though!

It very much is. As far as I can tell, it's basically a really small GBA with a good, backlit screen. Which they already did with the SP. Great.

What the... why would they want to do that? That's a horrible idea that's going to turn a lot of potential customers away (probably). Well, at least if you have to pay extra for the attachment. Even if it's free it sounds bad, I mean who wants to poke around every time you want to go from gaming to watching a DVD?

It at least looks more mature than the Gamecube ever did, so they might garner some developer attention by not having a "kiddie console" the coming generation. As you said, the PS3 looks really powerful, but when Ken Kutaragi said that they were going to focus on existing licenses (or something to that effect) it felt like my interest went down about three notches. Then I though about what Nintendo was going to offer and remembered that it's probably going to be a load of sequels too. So yeah...

Here's a link to the article in question: http://www.usatoday.com/tech/products/games/2005-05-17-revolution_x.htm?POE=TECISVA Unlike the other consoles, it doesn't look like a household appliance. If it's only going to be "two or three times more powerful than Gamecube" as the article mentions, I think Nintendo won't do very well this generation. I know they mean to focus on games and gameplay, but crippling the hardware in order to suit your internal development philosophy isn't the way to go if they're looking for third party software. I really, really hope they've got some big surprise about the system coming up soon.

Reminds me more of a blender actually.

I'm not an authority concerning funk, but I must say that I enjoyed that quite a bit. Edit: I didn't mean to bring the thread back on topic, honest!

I didn't mean to rip it all apart, put what I said still stands. For it to work for me the drums would have to be altered. But anyway, some work and it might be good.

I'm just going to go straight to the music and skip complaining over how this has nothing to do on this forum (it really doesn't). It didn't mesh at all. It felt like each member was playing on their own, only to have it all mixed together later on. Besides that, my biggest complaint was how the drums had no real flow and felt very forced (and not in a good way). Vocals were so-so, but overall OK, even though they lacked variety. All of the songs need to be worked over, to get some energy in there. I kind of doubt you were looking for any kind of input though, but I really enjoy giving it.
