As I'm sure everyone already knows, there's a whole sub-plot involving Gandalf and Sauron in The Hobbit that was skipped over. Tolkien added it to the Lord of the Rings appendix's and the Book of Unfinished Tales (IIRC). I'm happy that it's being included because The Hobbit is such a non-book, really.

Interactive Interactive?

Then why I can't I see it?
-
Have you got the full version of this, because I just can't quite believe it? Edit: Yikes. It looks like it is real. I just can't get my head around it...!

So FC3 still isn't on Steam, right?

You invented the Internet?!

I'm really looking forward to this! One problem I'm having is finding HFR screenings, though. Jackson can be incredibly self-indulgent, it's true. KING KONG was waaaaaay too long. I was kind of hoping he would have reeled himself in a bit by now. He can't really afford another disappointment -- King Kong and Lovely Bones barely broke even, as I understand it. I hear that HEAVENLY CREATURES is a brilliant film, though... but then he also made MEET THE FEEBLES :-/ Man, he's uneven.

Phew! Glad I missed that!

I've actually just bought a trip to a remote jungle where a group of bandits terrorize visitors. #keepinitrealzyo

Where is this? Got a link? If you're referring to this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Xbox-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows/dp/B000MGVAAQ Most reviews say it's a 3rd part knock-off trying to pretend it's official.
-
You have to buy the wireless receiver, which I believe Microsoft stopped making... which means there's likely to be driver issues in the future.

64GB should be enough space for Windows and a few games, I would have thought? You can change the default folder for your Documents/Music/Photos etc by right-clicking on them and selecting Properties. No need to keep those on your SSD. And yep, specifically a 360 controller is the way to go -- USB version (not wireless). A lot of games support it right out of the box, so to speak, and it just makes everything a lot easier.

That's a good point. Also: "Hi, my name's Johnny. I'm a human. We discovered an old Prothean ruin a few hundred years ago, and made our way to the Citadel. We're not a full council race yet, but we hope to be one day. We haven't really been in any wars with other races, but some of the other races distrust us. For procreation our species requires a male and a female. The female then carries the newborn for nine of our lunar months, whereupon both male and female raise the child for approximately 18 of our solar cycles. Do you know where I could find a bathroom around here?" If every conversation starts like that in the future, then I'm glad I won't be around to see it.

Ok, so I finally finished book one (I really should make more time for reading...!). Although I enjoyed it, I wish I was braced for the fact that there was no resolutions at all. It really doesn't work as a standalone book on any level. (Kroms has told me that you start getting answers at the end of book three -- lawks!) Still, otherwise a great read. Onto book two!

No, you're absolutely right, but ME1 was the worst offender. "Greetings, I'm an Asari. Let me tell you about the history of my culture. *drones on* Aren't the designers so amazing for creating such a detailed universe? Let me tell you some more. *drones on* It's funny because despite of all this detail I've completely ignored the fact that I speak perfect English and look like a sexy humanoid. Before you think about that, let me tell you how my culture has sex. *drones on*" Next conversation: "Greetings, I'm a Quarian, here's the complete history of my peoples..."

Gotcha, I think. -

So you're saying a comedy film would be funnier if you muted the TV and put on subtitles? :-/ I think the poor quality of voice acting/direction is more to blame than anything. -
I love that people can share their anecdotes without fear of spoilers. Awesome sounding game!

That's a little bit too sweeping. Obviously it's possible to have funny dialogue that's spoken! -
Both of those pictures are bland beyond belief. It almost hurts to look at them. The FUSE artwork is slightly less bland, but it has its own problems.

Sweet! Looks like we have pretty similar systems, actually. (Your graphics card is better than mine -- damn you!) Doesn't an SSD make a difference, eh? Before I switched over to Windows 8, Windows 7 would actually finish booting before the logo had fully appeared! (Loving Windows 8 now, too -- what's your OS?) If you don't already know: A 360 controller comes very much in handy for PC gaming.

Here you go: http://bit.ly/FirstW...InfantMortality As you can see, America has the worst infant mortality rate in the 1st world -- but their healthcare system is the best in the world. Weird, huh?

I'm sure everyone here would forgive you. Anyhoo, does this mean you have your new PC? What are the specs, then?
