A colleague is having major problems with one of her wisdom teeth today... She was in tears with the pain (and that's after the pain killers) and her face is swollen. Luckily she's finally found a dentist that can take her in. ouch!

Lol, yes! You'd think he would have learned his lesson. Ah well, at least we're all braced for disappointment

Yes, we get it WV: You don't like Gears of War! Miffy: The end guy is a complete pain in the arse, and I seriously doubt anyone could figure out how you're supposed to kill him without looking it up online. I'll give you a quick hint though; he can't be hit when he's "protected".

Sounds good, can't wait!

In a word; Wow. It's great to see the youth of the day not being as utterly apathetic as mine was. Good on them! -
You can start procedures in attempting to claim it back. There's a step by step guide at MoneySavingExpert.com.

Toshiba officially gives up on HD-DVD format
ThunderPeel2001 replied to twmac's topic in Movies & Television
Follow-up: Universal have officially followed suit and will now start releasing their films on Blu-Ray. That means that only Paramount is left to make an announcement. At the moment they are technically only releasing their films on HD-DVD for the foreseeable future... I'm guessing the announcement will come tomorrow -
Errr... just got the Take Flight, Brave Raptors achievement through a glitch If you manage to get a raptor to land on your car and stay there (it's only ever happened to me twice) DON'T MOVE! Just stay put. The raptor is technically still flying until it hits the ground. Wait for 30 seconds (or a minute or so for a maximum of 500,000 points) and drive off a cliff or a ramp or something to throw the thing off... it will finally land after its flight giving you the achievement. The best I've managed to get in terms of legitimately trying is 20 seconds. It seems that going to the BIG canyon, at the entrance where the egg inside it is on your right, and repeatedly driving up the steep opening, boosting and releasing, is a good way to get 3+ seconds every time (sometimes 5+ if it bounces off the canyon wall). The extra sweetner is that because the raptor will land near you, you can quickly grab it, drive round and fling it again (over and over).

Toshiba officially gives up on HD-DVD format

Yep, it's good news! After two sodding years(!!!) someone has finally bowed out. No more sitting on the fence for consumers, wondering which format will take over (although there's probably been so much damage done by the very fact of the war); the upgrade path is finally clear: BLU-RAY! Now the prices will start coming down as there is dominance in the market place Hooray! -

I feel sick... -
Considering they currently believe that religion first developed precisely as a response to our ethics (religion helps back our personal sense of 'right' and 'wrong' in an otherwise chaotic and unjust universe) I think it would be more helpful to merge them with a better understanding of why we have it in the first place. Anyhoo, there are scientists working hard to discover concrete evidence of evolution, and they think they've finally proven it with that moth. (The one that was discredited by the creationists.) So yes, the Law of Evolution would be better, I guess. Of course DARWIN was religious and he saw evolution as part of God's design, so there's no reason why the two can't co-exist... it's only if you're a fundamentalist that there's a problem.

I think it was an olive branch from Wrestle after our bust up earlier in this thread. I only asked for a hug, but he went all out! (*blushes*)

I've not even completed the Xmas one yet. I got stuck and frustrated. I started it up again on a new computer and then I remembered how dull it was... Eep... that sounds really bad. Maybe dull isn't the right word... I did have to start over to get back to where I was up to, so that's probably what was so unenticing. It's true that it can be unsatisfying when the puzzles are so illogical, though. I'll get back to them, as they ARE highly entertaining, but I don't feel any rush to do so.

Get your filthy grab-hands away from my love! -
'Tis true, I enjoyed that one!

Here's screengrabs of the two of the three eggs I've seen ingame... Might be of use?
-
I can't decide whether its the game being addictive or me just being really bored and having nothing else better to do
-
I've looked and looked and I couldn't find one past the egg at all. There was nothing up there. We're talking about the egg on THAT ledge in THAT valley, right? Rats
-
1,567,200 Yeah! Cool about the egg! I think that must be where the last one is... even thought I've searched around there many times before, I don't recall seeing one, though. Keep persevering with the one at the end of the ramp... you WILL get it eventually. Just find a quick route back round again (there's a hill you can boost up to get back near the ramp rather quickly) and keep jumping/boosting the ramp. My only tip would be to choose left or right, rather than trying to get up the middle. Also, it's pretty random luck which way the car reacts, I think. For anyone who's interested in my score: It seems you get 2x multiplier if you throw or push the raptors into the transporter. I did this by driving up to them and then unhooking the mace at the last minute (or further back for more of score), and then having a few ready to push in. I got 800,000+ just from doing that at two different transporters!
-
I agree (about the ramps) what's the point in having them if they're not the most awesome jumping equipment in the game? They also "break" for no good reason. It seems like a stupid idea taking over for fun. I mostly just ignore them now and use the hills; they're much better equipped for jumps... although what's the point of your stunt bar decreasing as you fly through the air? By the time you land, it's used up! Anyways - YES! - that was my 99th Orb too. I'm currently searching everywhere for the last one. I presume it's hidden away. What's with the eggs?! Tip: I managed to get a live raptor into a teleporter for a rather nice 160,000 points!
-
Let me know if you find number 100. Presumably we're both looking for the same one?
-
That's what I was doing when I found it by accident... *sigh* They should make it a bit clearer methinks.
-
None from me... I just hope I find a glitch too! ;D

"Anonymous" declares war on Scientology
ThunderPeel2001 replied to ThunderPeel2001's topic in Idle Banter
Post Feb 10th, I think Scientology are still going...? Anyone hear of any success or news stories that came about because of their protests?
