Or "Guitar Hero IV: Rock Band Legends"
-
Tommy Gunn just did a great article/podcast on modding your equipment. Might be a good place to start looking for replacements/mods? TG: I'm getting the Euro version of Rock Band as soon as it comes out, so it's going to be interesting to see what drums we get, and if there's any improvement over the US versions. Where's a good place to read up on these sorts of things? I fancy modding my drums for bounce and noise... assuming they're going to suffer from the same problem

Move over Velociraptor Safari... http://www.redlynxtrials.com/ (Disclaimer: I've not actually played it yet, but PC Gamer was going on about how addictive and simple it is.)
-
Lol, I was actually going to say "while we wait for Jetpack Brontosaurus"! Never mind!
-
Hmmm... One word: Fiddly. Still, I'll give it a proper go when I've got time.
-
Lol! I really think that's one place that could help the PC games market. Anyone seen that Actuator? You can control things with your freakin mind!!! And it supposedly works pretty well, too! There's also that new precision mouse that you use as a gun, which is also supposed to be very good. If the PC came up with a decent controller that got bundled with the game, I think it would help the game and get round those awful controllers that most PC gamers use.
-
Wow. I gotta check that out.
-
I know. Sorry...I kinda figured it would be a good league game for the forum, but I've just been too busy to actually play it. (I could've lied...)

Fuck GH4

Downward Spiral era is still the best for me, but I'm happy to give The Slip a decent listen. The Fragile eventually grew on me, for example. Fixed is all remixes, isn't it? And what's wrong with L7?!? They rocked back in their day! (They're a little soft today, I admit.)
-
Hmph. This one is distinctly average...
-
Ha! That baby looks like a hardcore rapper!

Fair enough, I guess it's just me then. I like a challenge, I guess I do believe it's a good exercise for designers, though. Not a major lesson, but a good way of losing up a bit and giving yourself some crazy challenges. It certainly beats the monotony of spending a day designing DVD covers for bad movies...

The Designer's Prayer:

Lol! I think it's needs David Brent's stupid face for full ironic impact Wrestle: Nice!
-
Good job! That's a tricky one!

Third time I've got random stuff and the third "cover" I've designed. I guess it's just me, but I see the whole point of this is to loosen you up as a designer. You can easily get bogged down trying to get everything "perfect" in day-to-day designing. With this you can not only not take it too seriously, but it also forces you out of your comfort zone into trying something that you would never pick out consciously. As a graphic designer you don't have the luxury of only picking work you find fun or that inspires you, and this is a way of getting yourself used to that scenario, IMHO. Anyways, do what you will, I'll be keeping it real, fo' shizzle
-
Why not think of some names yourself and find a picture you like then? Seriously, it kinda defeats the whole point of the game. *sigh* Oh well. You can guarantee that mine are 100% totally what I've been given Good, bad or... ugly.
-
I got the same quote!
-
Bah! As WV rightfully pointed out, it's pretty pointless if you just pick something good (even you're "randomly" waiting for something good to come along). It doesn't matter if it's "bad", it's part of the fun! First thing you click on. Period!

He's either an inter-dimensional interloper from 2006, or he's just a twat.
-
Why are these old posts being dirged up? Especially when all that's in them is sarcastic comments about S&M never returning... Seems kinda pointless, Mr Borland.
-
Dan, that's brilliant! I hope no-one here is cheating. (It kind of defeats the purpose of putting together totally random things and seeing how they can work together.) Even if you get a band name, I think you should still go for it! Such. Good. Fun!
-
Yay! It arrived from eBay. Now, from all this hype, it'd better be the best game I've ever played!!!

It's great that they offer the PCM version, too. I'm going to compare to see if there really is noticeable difference.
