After a while you get to know the city better and what you can do, and then it also becomes a great big sandbox to play in. Lots of fun! The missions aren't great, but they get better. Also the ones you're describing sound like the Jamaican's side-missions which you don't need to do those in order to progress (I found them VERY hard).

Yeah, that's a good point. Harmonix are not great with hardware - at least, so far. Can we take it as read that the new GH:WT stuff isn't going to be compatible, do you think?

Not sure what you're referring to, but the interoperability between my PC and XBox is excellent. I can access all my music through my network. I use the Windows Media Center to stream TV episodes to my TV, too. With my Zune I can wirelessly stream music from it to my XBox, as well. Pretty good, if you ask me! *shrugs*

I have to say, I was also a bit disappointed with how some of the Mass Effect side-missions were "half finished". I've only got to the point where you leave the Citadel for the first time (went to the icey place), but still. In KOTOR, if you worked hard enough, you could reveal the history of the Sandpeople. I went around the Citadel, looking for all of those little robot thingies that no-one knows what they do, expecting to learn some cool backstory that would add flavour to the game... but all I got was a lame "thanks mister" from the guy who asked me to do it. Bah.

I wouldn't worry. There's three different type of fans they install, apparently. The only difference is the noise they make. I was just pleasantly surprised that I was lucky enough that they sent me the "quiet" ones (it's still very audible).

Doh! Glad you finally got it. Is it a new machine (with a new serial on it) or did they just replace the mobo/fans? I still can't get over how my new mobo/fans are so much quieter (you can still hear them, but there's no longer a jet engine in the room). Any difference for you?
