  1. When I'm feeling down I go to Gamefaqs user reviews

Yeah, pretty similar, but does he ever actually send them off? If so, I can presume from his extreme tone that he never actually gets a reply(?).
  2. Pokemon Friend Codes

I'm adding you to my POKEMON FRIENDS LIST right now!!!! We'll soon have ALL THE POKEMON FRIEND CODES in the world!!!! Yes, that's right POKEMON FRIEND CODES!!!! (Sorry.)
  3. Metal Gear Solid 4 - Guns of the Saucer Men From Mars

If you find a PAL copy, let me know

I figure it could open the door to more insane ramblings I'm sure there's an art to it, though. Anyone ever read Robin Cooper's Timewater's Letters? The funniest moments are when he strings them along...
  5. Crock Band

Anyone know why I can't see my character's score via the Leaderboard? I know my character's name wasn't really going to be online-worthy, but I changed it last night and there's still no online scoring
  6. Mass Effect

That sounds really cool. I just wish they'd lose the whole "evil-o-meter" and let our decisions be nothing more than our decisions. Who is to say that you're "evil" by not returning a body to a grieving family member, if that body might help save thousands of other families from that same grief...? (I really wish I hadn't returned it now.) Bah, it just all goes back to that blog post I made ages ago... A call to all RPG makers: Lose the "evil-o-meters" - let our decisions have realistic repercussions within the gaming world, not just represented by a statistic or changes to our avatar. Re: KOTOR - I have to say that, considering the Star Wars universe makes zero attempt at making you feel anything other than hate for the evil Empire. (I mean we all just know: Sith = Evil. Darth Vader = Bad. Zero gray area.) I felt that BioWare did a damn good job trying to persuade the player to go down the "evil" route. It was a bit contrived, sure, but it was the first time I'd ever seen why someone might go "I'll join the baddies!" Man, all this talk of Mass Effect is making me itchy to get back into it. I just had a similar experience with Metal Gear Solid from another thread, and that turned out brilliantly (I'm now a total MGS convert). Good stuff

Looks pretty cool. Where did you find it? Not sure it's something I'd actually use, but it looks like the best example of that type of program I've seen.
  8. Metal Gear Solid 4 - Guns of the Saucer Men From Mars

Excellent It's hard to believe that Subsistence is so incredibly rare. There's some guy asking £200 ($400) for it on eBay! It's the most expensive one, sure, but still! £200?!? I've checked for t*rrents, but they're only US versions and I don't think my PS2 could play burned games anyway. It would be an epic find to stumble across this in a second-hand store!

How about this for Sony dude: Yo man! Thanks so much for posting that stuff showing how great the 360 was! It's time that people realised that Sony are just ripping off people. My friend who works at Microsoft and I showed your review to him and he totally agrees. He will show it to his bosses tomorrow (who knows, maybe youll get some free stuff!). Also, great job on finally explaining the meaning of High Def to the world. Most people don't get it (even some "experts"), but you explained it in a very clearly and straight-forward manner, with proper English throughout, and I don't think anyone couldn't not understand how clearly explained you made High Def to people (even to the leyman!). I've gotten some great ideas on how to bring Sony down and boost Microsoft. If you'd like to hear them, let me know. Also, if my friend does get free stuff, do you want it? - Johnny -------- That outta confuse the crap out of him

  11. I made a multiplayer game, whoopdee

Great idea! Lots of fun, too. It's slightly buggy, and I had no idea how to continue the game (apparently you press space?). Also, when I started it wasn't clear which one I was, but I soon adjusted. Good stuff!
  12. When I'm feeling down I go to Gamefaqs user reviews

Dammit! This guy KNOWS what he's talking about!!!

This is rather special isn't it? Shame you can't leave comments.

Those polaroid things are great. I also just noticed that someone here has #100 as their profile picture. Cool. Edit: And if #57 isn't actually digital painting but a real photo of Tim Schafer and his wife(?).
  15. Metal Gear Solid 4 - Guns of the Saucer Men From Mars

Unfortunately, not one of those places actually has it in stock, which is why it sells for at least £60 on eBay and some times up to £100 I loved the MGS2 story and how they expanded on MGS1. I just need to get a PS3 so I find out what happens... *arg* BTW - Where was Meryl?
  16. Guitar Hero III (and demo!)

Yikes. As much as I hate Red Octane/Activision for sullying the Guitar Hero name, I can't imagine that they'd really make a GH that bad. Wow. Is this kind of like that "Rocks the 80s" thing? I still try and play GH3 from time to time (I do WANT to like it!) but I always end up feeling like it's a hollow experience. Are there any game mechanic changes to GH:A or is it really just an expansion?
  17. Metal Gear Solid 4 - Guns of the Saucer Men From Mars

Finished it last night. What an excellent game! I think one of the final cut-scenes was something like 40 minutes, but I somehow didn't (completely) notice, as it was unveiling interesting bits of the story. The ending was very confusing... how many double-crosses can one story have?(!) Baddie 1: "Ha ha! I've double crossed you!" Baddie 2: "Actually, I knew you'd double cross me, so I double crossed you!" Baddie 3: "You're both wrong. I orchestrated everyone's entire lives up until this point and so knew all of this would happen! It's been part of my plan since you were born!" Baddie 4: "That's what HE thinks! We've been controlling HIM all along!" Baddie 1: "I was just kidding, I'm really a double-double-secret agent." Baddie 2: "Me too." Baddie 4: "...I knew that." Snake/Raiden/Player: "Huh?!" I think I just about managed to understand it... and ordered MGS3 when I was done! It's a shame Subsistence is so rare, I'd love to check out the older Metal Gears, but I really can't afford to pay $200 for a game. (Unless it's Rock Band.) Here's my understanding of the ending of MGS2: I'm not sure if that even makes sense! But I believe that's what the game was saying. Roll on MGS3!!!

Funny: http://www.doublefine.com/news.php/comics (As if you'd all not seen them already )
  19. Mass Effect

Cool, I'll get back to it. How many hours is the game rated, do you know, if you bother with all the side-quests? Anyone tried the 360 expansion pack?
  20. Metal Gear Solid 4 - Guns of the Saucer Men From Mars

Back on topic: I just went all weekend playing MGS2 on my PS2 and damn if it wasn't the best fun I've had in ages! I read the "Previous Story" before I got started (all 328 pages of it(!)) and it really helped my memory of what had happened in the first game (although I don't fully understand how Baker didn't give Snake the code, but gave it to Meryl instead... and why was it the launch sequence... bah!). But I LOVE MGS2. So many great moments (so far). I've had yet another plot-twist and am now running around a lab in the nude. Good stuff.
  21. Mass Effect

Really?! Geez, I had no idea I'd made it so far.
  22. THE MEDIC IS REAL.

    How strange...
  23. Guitar Hero III (and demo!)

Agreed. Where's Guitar Hero for my PHONE? Is it being developed? Surely they didn't miss an opportunity to completely sell out?The really sickening thing is the Wired journalist's take on it... Yeah, I can't seem to move for websites clambering over each other to add this to their pages.
  24. Guitar Hero III (and demo!)

    Yes and yes
  25. Guitar Hero III (and demo!)

http://blog.wired.com/games/2008/04/scoop-the-guita.html Could it get any worse?
