  1. Zero Punctuation

Who's Adrian? (Yes, I'm totally ignorant... apologies.)
  2. TF2 Guest Pass

Cannee find it? Where do I look? I'm in Steam. What's your Steam ID? EDIT: Whoops. Found it! Thanks!
  3. Carpal Tunnel Syndr-ow!

That sounds closer to damage done by vibrations... A friend of mine was a tree surgeon and, thanks to the constant vibrations shaking the blood in his hands, got himself Raynaud's disease. Not fun. Keeping your hands warm should help with the blood flow, but I guess it's pretty unlikely that you could have done any major damage from a single exposure... How long ago did you strim the hedge? (That sounds like a weird euphemism doesn't it?)
  4. TF2 Guest Pass

If this hasn't already been snapped up I wouldn't mind trying TF2! My email is my username followed by @gmail.com
  5. Microsoft does not want my money

Marek, the solution is pretty simple (if annoying). I have a US and UK XBLA account, for instance. Just use your Dutch account as normal and buy things on your new UK account. Your Dutch account will have full access to whatever you buy. For example: My UK account is my main XBL account. That's what I log into and where all my achievements/friends are stored. I also have a US account that I use to buy online content sometimes (like songs for Rock Band or Arcade games) because it works out a little cheaper. All my UK bought content and US bought content is available to both my accounts completely transparently. (To add MS Points to my US account, I just buy US MS Points from eBay.com.) The only thing you've got to remember is to log back into your Dutch account! (Or you might save your achievement to your UK one!) Hope that's of some help?
  6. XBL Arcade Greatness

    Lol. How about "unofficial remake"?
  7. Carpal Tunnel Syndr-ow!

Unless my keyboard is really flat and I've got something underneath both my wrists, I tend to get pain in them.
  8. XBL Arcade Greatness

Yeah, XBLA also sell full games, too. Psychonauts, Crimson Skies, etc. Plus, I know we've got two Street Fighters, too (including the new HD version). I could definitely go for Super Stardust HD! (Even if it was just a complete ripoff of -- know idea why no-one ever mentions this, though.)
  9. MGS3: Fail? :(

Meryl is WRONG (unless it's revealed she's put on a load of weight in MSG4?)
  10. XBL Arcade Greatness

My XBLA faves have been: Rez HD Space Giraffe (worth it once you get in to it) Geometry Wars 2 Prince of Persia (for retro value) Pacman Championship Edition and a heap of retro arcade titles (Galaga, Pacman, Super Sports, etc). I've yet to try: Braid Galaga Legions Soul Calibur Fable II Pub Games Ikaruga Sensible World of Soccer Plus there's these coming up: Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix Darwinia+ No idea how many of these are available on PSN, or what we XBLAers are missing out on, though?
  11. "There is no uncanny valley any more," declares French developer

Crikey. Ok, so yes, the uncanny valley is definitely still around. I mean it's going to be some time before games truly give pre-rendered CGI a run for its money... and THAT still looks uncanny... but! We're getting a lot closer, and of course they're going to hype it. It's all relative, but they're doing a damned good job -- even if the game itself looks like Silent Hill crossed with Dragon's Lair Sure, the non human visuals look STUNNING, but if that's the gameplay, then... Heavy Rain? More like Chubby Rain.
  12. XBL Arcade Greatness

Lol! Tis indeed a great time for such small games. I've enjoyed some great games on XBLA and the list keeps growing stronger and stronger. MS seems to have pretty much created this market... Did they do something original, useful and fun for once... ???
  13. MGS3: Fail? :(

Hmmm. Still not sure about the opening video. I'll watch it again now that I'm more "on board", but nothing about the actual game reminds me of early Bond movies, to be honest. It's just that Snake is an undercover operative, like James Bond, at the same time that the Bond movies were exploding. Maybe it won't grate so much next time.
  14. Braid

I guess I should pick this up... you guys are still talking about it. It must be good!
  15. MGS3: Fail? :(

This is so true. When I was replaying "Twin Snakes", there were definitely times when it just made more sense to watch the radar rather than was was happening on screen. In MGS3, I much more aware of my environment... it's such a brilliant progression, I love it.
  16. Possibly the most frustrating thing ever?

Don't forget the Golden Rule: ALWAYS clean with a cloth in straight lines from the center of the disc to the edge. NEVER go along the curve of the disc!
  17. coign of vantage

    654110! Woohoo! I'm getting better
  18. coign of vantage

451810 The highscores are even higher now... Lol. Still no idea how you can possibly get 1,000,000.
  19. coign of vantage

Well sure, it feels like a "trick", but I think everyone uses that technique and I still don't know how anyone could have got those scores!
  20. All the machines hate me

AFAIK there's nothing especially different about how a Mac would handle this problem? I've had to use Disk Warrior many times.
  21. coign of vantage

394,020 How on earth can you possibly earn the 940,000+ required for a highscore?! As you get further into the game, the "time bonus" you get from each picture becomes nominal (it's so small it seems like it's subtracting time!). Good game though!
  22. I'm out, I'm out!

I knew it! I knew you were g-- Ah... Yes, congrats on moving out
  23. Soulcalibur IV

It's not Soul Blade (although I LOVED that game), so I'm guessing it's the DC one?
  24. coign of vantage

That is a bizarrely addictive (and relaxing) game! I really like it My best score was 303500... I've no idea how people manage to get a highscore - You'd have to be lightning fast!
  25. The Last Guy Presentation

I checked. From what I can tell they're just actors... which kind of makes the thing pretty lame, if you ask me. If they're the programmers, I love it. If they're not, I don't. (Sounds fickle, doesn't it?)
