  1. True, but they could lose that with bad publicity (maybe). Any news on this story, yet?
  2. Y: The Last Man

Yep, just 10. Quite frankly it's worth just picking up all 10 and reading them in one go. You won't be disappointed.
  3. FUUUUUUCK!!!

    Is it RRoD every time?
  4. Rock Band 2...

You just need to configure the game correctly, NFC. Every TV is different. Can you believe that Guitar Hero III won best "Family Game" at the "Golden Joystick Awards"??? Not Rock Band, oh no, but that scabby wart on the anus of rhythm games, GH3.
  5. What did you learn today?

What this entire media driven horseshit boils down to is this: Daily Mail readers who have never liked Brand and Ross "finally" getting them off the air. It's nothing more than that, and quite frankly... it scares the shit out of me.
  6. Fallout 3

    Wow... £30... That's very tempting!
  7. Midnight Club: Los Angeles

I just picked this up on a whim. (Er... I liked Midtown Madness ) Anyone had a change to play this yet? I'm kind of interested in learning Los Angeles's geography... I'm not sure how accurate it actually is, though!
  8. Midnight Club: Los Angeles

Yeah, it's pretty old skool. It's really all that different than even Midtown Madness, I suppose, but it's just a slick racer in a realistically mapped city... Although that can work against it. Hitting lamp posts, trees and other cars only to come to a complete standstill can be VERY annoying. In GTA and in the original MM, you could knock down lamp posts and traffic lights... and think going back to a "realistic" model is a bad idea. It's one thing to lose a race because you're lacking in skill, it's another to lose it at the last second because you clipped a tree.
  9. Fallout 3

    Lol, that sounds VERY cool!
  10. FUUUUUUCK!!!

Phew! So it's not so bad then... How many times have we each had our 360s repaired for RRoD? Me: Once Miffy: Once Wrestle: Once MrChaz: "fifth, I think"
  11. What did you learn today?

Well she's apparently now been in a hardcore porno... according to the cover of The Star... which is NOTHING compared to the damage done to her grand-father by a prank phone call. I'm sure he's in no way embarrassed or upset about the family porn.
  12. What did you learn today?

Agreed. They (both Ross - who was the main culprit - and Brand) were are on particularly poor form. I'm just disgusted that these people were banned. BANNED!!! Wtf is going on here?! A few years ago there was TV show that encouraged its participants to risk killing themselves for the viewers ("go on, hang yourself!"). That was an abomination of human nature. This... I still don't understand what's so bad about it. Here's the particularly unfunny and a tad disturbing (but not being SACKED and BANNED disturbing) actual audio: Here's Andrew Sachs talking about it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7696714.stm And a timeline indicating just how utterly fucking stupid and sheeplike the British public are: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7694989.stm I bet two people couldn't agree on why they're upset... "It's because they swore on the radio" (the original complaints) ... "It's because Andrew Sachs in an old man" ... "It's because prank calls are mean" ... "It's because it embarrassed Gorgina" ... "It's because it embarrassed Andrew Sachs" ... "I don't like Russell Brand and/or Jonathan Ross" ... "I'm just a mindless sheep -- tell me how to feel... baaaaaaah"
  13. Pirate crack-down catches non-pirates...

    Just greeeeeeat... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7697898.stm
  14. What did you learn today?

Here's is a photo of the innocent and offended Gorgina with no ulterior motives whatsoever (from the DailyMail.co.uk, no less -- although they've removed it from their article now, hypocrites):
  15. Blue sky in games?

Ah, I loved the "Blue Skies In Games" campaign, whatever happened to it? As for XBLA... Worms? Bomberman? Erm... Megaman 9 (not actually seen this yet, but it's all retro, right?). Damn, can't believe there's still a fun/light game shortage.
  16. What did you learn today?

    Lol!
  17. Yikes!

    Lol!
  18. Pirate crack-down catches non-pirates...

    Sucks... especially for THAT game.
  19. What did you learn today?

Is that a joke? (If not, does it include Phone Jacker? Or Scott Mills? Or any of the other DJs who have regularly made prank phone calls in the past?) The only person who's "really" upset by this is Gorgina (Sach's granddaughter), the "exotic dancer" who works at Satan's Sluts. Oddly enough, she seems to be doing rather well. I wonder if she'll get any modelling work from being on the front page of The Sun?
  20. FUUUUUUCK!!!

I think they do replace the mobo, but I didn't get any HDMI ports
  21. What did you learn today?

That the British public are our of their tiny little minds... 27,000 complaints?!?
  22. FUUUUUUCK!!!

Ok, let's clear this up: How many times have we each had our 360s repaired for RRoD? Me: Once MrChaz: "fifth, I think" Miffy: ? Wrestle: ?
  23. Fallout 3

Hmmm. Ok, this is sounding more promising now!
  24. Idle Thumbs 4: The Fable of Love

    Damned spiders...
  25. Fallout 3

Yikes. Thanks for your review. It's a bit disappointing to hear, though. I really felt that Oblivion was one of the most overrated games ever... but then again, I never got that far into it. I tend to like plot and good characters and Oblivion had the worst NPC "personality" system in gaming history... and getting people to like you was sooo dull and repetitive. The plot was terrible (entering Oblivion was sooo boring), the "mythology" unbelievably bad and just didn't see the point of endless sprawling nothing (although it sure looked pretty). (Maybe you get "hooked" after a while, but it seems that it only had combat to offer in terms of gameplay.) Sooooo... taking that into account, will I (dis)like Fallout 3 just as much?
