Oh, and I finally finished GTA on the weekend. I went for the "deal" ending, based on Roman's urgings... Re: The Last Mission...
-
To be fair, it IS relevant to this thread: He's looking to buy a DRM free version, which is only available through, ironically, Steam

Well, I left my XBox at my gf's -- who I'm seeing tonight at her's (which is why I said Wednesday for sure), except, based on today, I'm thinking I might be in the trouble if I just go round and play GTA... So, er, I'm a definitely maybe.

Man, I saw a bit of footage with the actors doing a Q&A -- I couldn't watch it because I was like "Oh look! It's Bunk and McNulty!", except the idea of them NOT being Bunk and McNulty scared me It's funny that in one of the commentaries that one of the editors said the same thing: He visited the set one day when he started working on the series, and quickly realised he wanted leave as soon as possible so it didn't spoil the illusion for him.

It's so true. It's incredibly rare that I should feel like watching a TV series again (which makes me question why I bother buying them on DVD instead of just LoveFilm-ing them) -- but with The Wire, even though I'm only on Series 3, I feel like watching Series 1 again. I can definitely understand why it wasn't necessarily a hit when it was first shown though: It's subtitles/rewind ahoy if you really want to understand what's going on.

Heh, Kaufman is a genius, but it sounds like he works best with the guidance of someone like Spike Jonze or Michel Gondry. Fun fact: I used to live damned close to Charlie Kaufman. I used to see him in Ralph's -- I really wanted to go and say "I LOVED Adaptation!", but I never got the guts to do it. Idiot that I am.

Looks like I need this

Yep. It does actually totally blow.

Yikes! Don't think I could handle that!

Wow, cool. It's interesting to see Jake's name mentioned way bigger than anyone else's! -
I just realised I need this... Whoops!
-
The Steam version is clear of DRM (other than having to be logged into Steam). As for which software it doesn't like, I've no idea, but I imagine that reports have been exaggerated.
-
I can only make Wednesday at around 9pm GMT...
-
I'm there! I've been secretly playing it every spare moment I've got. Nearly finished it!
-
Holy Fuck! I wish I could see that!

I love the bit that says "Copyright LucasArts". Go Tim! -
Hey, you know Texas isn't always a Republican State - it seems to switch quite frequently.

I don't believe there are any tidbits to be had, I'm afraid...
-
I sincerely hope so...

I can see Rodi's point, though (even if it was badly made). You would assume that someone who has put up with prejudice and discrimination (the words Rodi was looking for) would not place it upon others given the chance. Of course, I think you're right, Ginger, it's more complicated than you'd first think.
