Sim City?!? Pfft. Newb... Few things ever live up to their hype, which is why it's best to ignore it as much as possible. GTAIV was a super-duper polished version of GTA with a good storyline, good characters and a good acting... That's good enough for me!

Hehe, sorry it's just a running in-joke that doesn't make any sense unless you're privy to it... Just basically The Wire beats the crap out of other "realistic" crime shows that have clogged up our TV screens (and which I utterly despise, and have done since their popularity exploded). They sell themselves on being an ultra realistic depiction of crime, when really (at worst, at least) they're just sadistic gore fests (IMHO). As David Simon pointed out: All three Law & Order shows had more dead bodies in them than Manhattan (where all three shows are set) actually had, in the same time period. Pretty ridiculous. All reasons why The Wire is fantastically better than its peers.

Agh. I need to find out where the story goes... but if I do that I'll end up watching the whole series... Oh woe is me (). So far the first season is still my fave. The second was a teeny bit weak and the third focussed a lot more on the drama of the characters... but it was still damned amazing (and still made some interesting/potent points, too). Oh lord, I just finished season 3... Feels like I'm getting close to the end -- only two more to go. I can't take the idea that The Wire is ever going to end... I'm addicted. I want to start season 4 immediately, but that can't be good. Need to pace myself. Three was a slow burner, but by the time it got to the end, I was on the edge of my seat... (Please don't respond with any spoilers.)

Well the writers have made it clear that you can't go back and change anything... So there'll be no re-writing of history for anyone. Hopefully that'll make people a little less jumpy about the time travel. Agreed There Will Be Blood was astounding, as was No Country, etc. Was he?

You should be able to just follow one of your compass arrows north east of their location and eventually come to it... Are you sure it's not already on your map? I too should get back into this, I was really enjoying it (although the Fire Ants mission is a bit annoying so far).

Great interview, but I would love him to have been asked how he felt about the story in Braid and what it meant to him. As much as I love Braid there's only one word I can use to describe the whole "atomic bomb" thing: Pretentious. I wish it wasn't, though... so maybe his take would have enlightened us?

Just finished watching series 1 for the first time... Jeez! So many open questions/massive gaping plot-holes at the end. The writers clearly don't have a clue (and hoped the audience wouldn't notice). Still, it was rather entertaining, even if it didn't make any sense.
