Well, you can't argue with photographic evidence * Thunderpeel strips down to his skivvies and oils up *

That's a good idea... but maybe we should see if a game becomes particularly worth of discussing before created a load of new threads. Not sure how this could be decided, though. (Maybe by monitoring this thread?)
-
What? You were arrested for playing Uplink? You didn't know it had "real implications"? What?
-
Phew! I didn't want to break the pristine silence in the other thread, nice job on creating this one So all those titles have to be "fresh", right? No point in adding Uplink or Darwinia (?)

I have no idea if you were being serious or not, but I'll take the bait anyway. Firstly, who has said anything about "stuff for nothing"? Getting good at Rock Band takes time! Also, what do I get out of it? A fake crowd cheering me on and a better score. It's not a replacement for a real crowd, is it? It's not getting the real buzz of performing live on stage... but I'm also not putting the same amount off effort in, either. I'm hardly getting "something for nothing". I'm getting "less for less". Says who? 200,000 years ago homosapiens appeared and almost immediately migrated from Africa to Europe and Asia... Or did you think the rest of the world was empty before WWII? Not before the invention of boats they didn't You have a wonderful insight into the ancient world... I can see how this all relates to Guitar Hero. Very interesting... And yes! People dreamed of being rock stars! As history progressed, with more freedom and opportunities came more desire. Ok. It's definitely 100% true that in ancient times people said, "I want more, but only if it comes with lots of effort". I agree the increase of celebrities for the sake of celebrities is silly. But the whole idea of celebrities is silly anyway, so... Or, it's just a fun video game. One or the other, I guess.

That is totally bonkers. We've got the same setup and it was always white for me. How is this possible?

Everyone sees the spoiler tag in black now... It's a question of how it used to be.

Professor Layton and the Underpant Pillage
ThunderPeel2001 replied to Nachimir's topic in Video Gaming
According to Wikipedia the sequel is due in Fall 2009. It's weird that it's taking so long... -
Are you kidding? How is this a generational thing? People have wanted be rock stars since rock was invented. Most of them played air-guitar and sang into a hairbush. Bill Maher talks some shite.
-
Lol. This thread just cracked me up. Now seriously. Change them back to white I guess for users, like me, they were always white?
-
That's true. Plus, having made up your mind before the trial even begins saves valuable deliberation time.

I concur

I just wanted to play the missions... It's pretty irritating to have to drive all the way from one part of the city to another just to fail it, and have to try again. Or to accidentally knock a police car and end up on a chase that takes you away from where you were going. Or just get bored and start driving like a maniac, then crash and have no health for the mission. I didn't skip the taxi rides for quite a while, though. I was pretty astounded crossing over the first bridge to open up, watching all the buildings get bigger and bigger... with zero (noticeable) loading. Damn cool.

I'm pretty sure it was a massive hit, right? Surely they should be scrambling over themselves to translate the sequels! -

Awesome, awesome, totally awesome video Thanks for posting that. It's going to be interesting to see what happens now. I think Sweden is under pressure to make sure that its courts don't look totally corrupt to the outside world. How they'll react to that pressure... who knows. But that Judge should have definitely declared that information before the trial... Unbelievable that he thought it wasn't worth mentioning.

Ok, so it's not the world's biggest crime, but the video is oddly disturbing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOIrXGd51jE

I liked this game -
I don't like the . It is, however, . Where's the spoiler button, though?
-
Jeez... you drove to every mission? Wow. That's some patience!
-
Ok, not sure how the board feels about Star Wars, but... This looks awesome! (Check out those reviews...)
-
Good lord... How could anybody not have noticed that before??

Speaking of addictive DS games, did anyone play Professor Layton? My and girlfriend and I both played and completed it (the first ever game for my gf!). Highly recommended I think I might have to get her this Henry Hatsworth thing.
