It's the dot dot dot that freaks me out.

Unfortunately not. It's just you really didn't have much to say about what you did or what you were planning to do... This sounds rather interesting is all! Fair enough. I have a Canadian journalist friend whose head would probably explode if I told her you'd managed to get a little piece printed in Edge -- despite not really having much/any professional experience! As I understand it, it's quite an aggressive job space!

Bah. I feel your pain. So many shows I've loved have been irritatingly cancelled. I think that's one of the reasons I'm mostly working through things that have already finished: No unpleasant surprises. Of course US networks might want to consider how placing every show on a knife-edge might negatively affect ratings! I wonder if a network would ever guarantee a "proper ending" for any show you watch on that network?

Sarah Connor: Terminated!

Wow, congrats n0wak! We spent the afternoon together and you never once mentioned writing when I asked you what you did

That's pretty damn awesome! I haven't seen a single episode, and I'm not even sure I'll like it, but I do know that Whedon is capable of creating some amazing stuff if he's given the chance. Plus, shows often need a season to find their feet -- throwing the whole thing out because it wasn't immediately successful, is ridiculous. Hopefully it might be a sign of things changing. This is excellent news, indeed!

Good lord, that's a weird story. It can't be as simple as you put it, though... surely?

You're not alone. I will "get it" eventually though

Box Art Design Challenge 2: Duke Nukem Forever

I wonder if it might be more fun to restrict it so that you can't use any official artwork...? -
Yeah, way to dumb it down. I hate it when they do that, still at least it was tiny on the corner The actor who played Bones absolutely nailed his introductory scene -- it was totally awesome, but later on he floundered a bit, I thought.

Hey now, there's a lot of intergalatic red tape, you know! You can't just go around dishing out red matter willy nilly. It needs to go through the right channels, meetings, paperwork, more meetings, more paperwork. Plus there's the waiting list. We're talking at least 200 years! Also, . Hmmm. I guess it does sort of make sense now that I've attempted to defend it. Yes, there were a few plot klunkers in the there, I'm sure, but on the whole it was very enjoyable! (If not super-awesome or anything.)

Not wanting to sound like a total tool, but I can't help but think that sort of work must be incredibly good for the soul, at least parts of it. Obviously it must be very difficult and harrowing, too, but... everyday folk can moan about the insanest things, and I think it's very easy to get caught up in the surrounding hot air, but when you're confronted with a genuine human problem, I think it must help to put everything else into perspective. That bit, at least, must be good. I'm currently reading The Corner (written by David Simon, of The Wire fame) and, although I'm sure it having to confront it in real life must be a hell of a lot more difficult, it's still very potent reading. It's a real eye opener, and some of the stories are truly shocking.

Yeah, I mean it still makes sense. You can imagine Lucas going, "your lead character doesn't have a name yet?! you might want to start there!". I totally agree with Tim that the "non-character" of so many games is just a lame excuse for not having to write one.

(Am I walking into a trap here...? ) Obviously it's not an opinion to argue against something that can be scientifically provable... So, no, there is no such thing as a "wrong opinion" and equally, there no such thing as a "right opinion". Of course I completely agree that a journalist can be a completely lazy twat and not bother to review games properly. (Carefully steps away...) -
Whoops! Happy Birthday!

Loved the opening... never bothered to finish it, though.

Rayne also had another "classic" in 1984. This time it was released, but it's not any better... iAHIZB93WQk

L.B. Rayne's long lost Star Wars ballad, originally intended for use in Empire Strikes Back.... IwnIvkOO9Ik Lyrics I spent a cold dark life alone on Dantooine, Hoping to find a girl who showed what true love meaned. You're a princess in the fight, but Leia you're the queen of my dreams. And now my heart's alive but I'm not really in the mood for talking, Cause I'm Skywalking... Although I'm short for trooping, tonight you'll feel a storm so long it's shocking, As we're Skywalking... We'll be Skywalking, oh... I know you're scared, I heard you say "This isn't right", The other man you had is froze in carbonite. With the Empire's base in sight, The Rebels have to leave by tonight. Your eyes are a beam, the fire ignites... And now we're all alone, and I unplugged the phone. Hear? No one's knocking, Let's try Skywalking... Champagne and candlelight, my saber's burning bright. The music's rocking, Almost Skywalking... Soon we'll be Skywalking... I'll gently kiss your lips, Lando gave some tips while we were talking, 'Cause he's gone Skywalking. My love's a rocket ship, open your port 'cause soon I will be docking. Now we're Skywalking... Yeah we're Skywalking, through the sky. You and I... Beautiful... and yet sinister.

Hmm. That sounds a bit sucky. Bit it took Buffy an entire season to become any good, maybe Dollhouse will be the same?
-
Looks good to me... But so did the stuff they previewed in 2001. God only know what went on in that company.

That's true. The only difference is you're noticing it now... -
If you can prove you informed them of your change in status, I don't see how they can demand anything from you.
