Ahh! That's really interesting. I can totally see the Fable-ness now. I really need to play this so badly... I've entered every competition I can find that might give me a free code. I've yet to win -*sniff*

As I've previously mentioned many many times: The Hollywood Saloon (movie podcast) is the best podcast in the history of podcasts... BUT! They're also doing a thing called "Saloon Shots" at the moment which are precisely 30 minute episodes. They're a little more informal and more ranty than their usual episodes (although not really that ranty), and they're still very good.

So you would say that ME is better than KOTOR? (Note: I haven't heard all of Chris's thoughts on the podcast.)

SPOILER TAGS, people? Anyways... I've been wanting to ask: Having listened to the podcast and seen the general "Mass Effect is awesome" vibe growing since the game's release (when I seem to remember people were a lot more subdued about it) -- I really wanted to know... Have the people who think Mass Effect is amazing played and completed Knights of the Old Republic 1? I ask because I thought that game was simply outstanding on all counts, even the combat was enjoyable. The dialogue, story, voice acting, characterisation -- just amazingly good. Mass Effect's seemed less so in comparison when I started to play it... but I haven't completed it yet. I'm really interested to hear...

It's ok, I forgive you. But seriously it's nice to be able to talk to someone who has read it! I was kind of surprised how little was taken from the book, but you're right, it's more what Simon learned writing the book than many specific moments or events. I should really watch Season 4, and I will do soon, but it's odd to say that after reading Homicide and the beginning of The Corner, the show feels suddenly... a little too real. I'll probably readjust, but the humour of say, a teenage psychopath ordering a nailgun from an unsuspecting store clerk seems somewhat less "funny" (although I know it was never "laugh out loud" funny or anything... perhaps I'm using the wrong word :-/ ) I'll get there!
