Yeah, but Alyx is the closest thing Half-Life has to a personality... For me it wouldn't be an emotional reaction at the loss of Alyx as much as being terrified of going back to having only Gordon Freeman as company. (Plus, Alyx had such a large amount of personality that she almost made up for the soul-sucking vacuum of Freeman.)

As you're killing the podcast, and undoubtedly hurtling millions of lost souls into deep depression, I think it's only fair that you finally fix our thumbs, in penance!

Edit: Found it! I was about to berate you all for lacking with the links, but there's a Music section on the homepage I've just noticed... Whoops. I'm sorry, for me it's still... Space Asshooooooooole for me. I honestly think this some slight tweaking to the lyrics (keeping the Space Asshole bits) that it could be a genuinely heartfelt story of this guy's life being destroyed by, well, this Space Asshole with a hammer. I know, I know, but it's really that good.

Ok, so I don't think I'll be able to be there earlier than 8pm (sorry, I mean 2000). I'm not even sure where "there" is, yet. Edit: Ok, just printed out my ticket so I'LL BE THERE. Woo. So who is actually coming? Really there is little excuse for anyone who lives near London not coming... It would be nice to meet as many of you fine folk as possible. Please note: I will most likely call you by your forum name (with the possible exception of BBX1138, who really should be called Ben (or Dan, I forget)). This isn't because I'm rude, it's because I'm crap and will otherwise have no idea who I'm talking to. Sorry.

I had no idea you were even thinking of coming, so I don't think anyone had time to get excited. Now I know that you nearly came, I do think it kind of sucks that you can't make it! (Can't you change shifts or something?)

It's funny, I despised Half Life because of all the reviews I read talking about how amazingly indepth it was. How you could interact with EVERYTHING. How the story was so incredible... And really, none of that that was true. Sure I could use the coke machine and the twist about the soldiers attacking you was nice, but it fell far, far short of the praise heaped upon it and so I was massively let down. (It was my first PC shooter.) Now I've played Half Life 2, and I found it very slick and very cool. Definitely adding more personality and charm than the first one had. But I also came at it from the point of view of a sequel to a game I hated (and everyone else loved). To me, it's a pretty awesome game. I wonder if Brutal Legend might be the same...? Those who weren't expecting it might be blown away, but the rest of us disappointed because of how much we loved Schafer's other games. Out of Brutal Legend and Psychonauts... I gotta pick Psychonauts.

It's not very strong, sadly. It took me a good while for the system to find me someone to play with both times I tried... I can't see this helping any

Not sure on my hourage (I should check) but I just don't feel I can be bothered to unleash all the hidden dragons just to get 100%. I don't know... I just wanted more.

Maybe if you're nice you'll get to play, too?

Hmph. Worst DLC ever... I thought they were going to add stories that expanded the world and the "lore"... You know, the parts of the game that really worked. I can't believe I've finished with Brutal Legend already... GTA lasted me months.
