  1. Monkey Island 2: SE

    Hermes!
  2. GTA IV

There's some great fun, but it's strictly for people who have mastered GTA/find it too easy (IMO). You should keep going though, it's more "extreeeme" and fun than the other games (main story and LaD).
  3. Grand Thumbs Auto 57: EXTREEEEEMMMMEEEEEE

57 is the EXTREEEEEMMMMEEEEEE version of the number 56. What a jolly fun evening you all missed out on. I lol'd a lot and it went by too quickly. Good stuff!
  4. GTA IV

If only you'd helped him by killing Playboy X - he starts turning his life around after that. But you'd never know! :-P
  5. Movie/TV recommendations

Yeah, the only line I didn't like in the film was the one you cited... It was far too serious for such a disturbing premise (at least for me). The only way I could enjoy it is taking it as a cartoon for adults.
  6. Post your face!

Don't listen to him, follow your own dreams. Every job has its problems.
  7. Life

    Very cool
  8. Movie/TV recommendations

And THANK GOD they didn't! What a horrible disgusting film it would have been if it took all that stuff SERIOUSLY. (shudders) The film was a cartoon, nothing more. In the same way South Park is about a bunch of kids committing crimes, getting killed "for laughs", etc. Kick-Ass was very much in the same idiotic world. If I didn't see it that way, I would be horrified to think that teenagers would identify with the lead character and attempt to become "super-heroes". It's fluff, nothing more.
  9. Spam Email

    Absolutely. Glad you enjoyed it!
  10. GTA IV

Yup, you just have to ignore the fact that he (i.e. you) likes killing people. Or you could look at it as him just trying to get things straightened out in his life. He is being motivated by revenge. Maybe once he gets it he'll be able to put it all behind him? (It does get better.)
  11. GTA IV

    You bastard! You killed Dwayne!
  12. Life

Are you sure about that? Having done a lot of sight-seeing in the US, I'm very sceptical of what tour guides tell you (if a tour guide did tell you, that is). http://www.archaeology.org/9611/newsbriefs/jamesfort.html
  13. Spam Email

I take it none of you have heard Robin Cooper's phone calls to one of these scammers? Like what happens if you actually do respond? They're hilarious! Enjoy... http://www.robertpopper.com/2009/11/27/its-robin-cooper-week-at-the-bbc/

    But caught in the act!
  15. Post your face!

Gotta keep his butt warm somehow.
  16. Interesting stuff that might get you laid.

    And the chocolate part?
  17. iPhone OS 4

I thought Apple just upped and bricked a shit load of iPhones when it first started happening? Was that just more Apple spin?
  18. Keeping your data safe

Does somebody need to be administratively raped through the pants?
  19. Interesting stuff that might get you laid.

    And the chocolate eggs?
  20. Interesting stuff that might get you laid.

That was the worst 10 minutes of my life.
  21. Monkey Island 2: SE

No need to apologise, it wasn't a very serious attempt at improving the image, it only took a few mins. But I do still think the lack of contrast is an issue in the game's artwork.
  22. Monkey Island 2: SE

Actually I upped the contrast in a few sporadic places around the image. Interesting that you think I made everything darker, I probably manipulated less than 10% of the image.
  23. Red Dead Redemption

Yup. I wouldn't wait for it myself.
  24. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

I hate that. Also, when did this thread become so... base? Here's something to lift it a bit... jmR0V6s3NKk
  25. Beatles: Rock Band

Picked up Beatles Rock Band a week or so ago for the phenomenal price of £12GBP (approx. $19USD). Very chuffed. When I first played it, though, I was a little disappointed... I wasn't as enamoured with the songs as I thought I'd be. Must have been the mood I was in, though, because I gave it another shot a few days later and now I love it. What a wonderfully brilliant game. So many great little touches (the Abbey Road stuff is fantastic) and attention to detail, and yes, the music is brilliant. Gets a big from me.
