Looking forward to it, but the trailer just doesn't as funny as it should be. Bad timing? Bad editing? Not polished enough dialogue? Can't put my finger on it, but although the whole idea is wonderful, the actual film doesn't look as actually hilarious as it should (and has the potential to) be.

Excellent review, you made great arguments for what was good and bad about the game and summed it up perfectly. I really wish they'd done a better job of explaining things to the user, and hiding the Legends was a dumb idea -- they're important to the plot. You also make me want to find a good guide and learn how to actually start enjoying the RTS stuff. Any pointers? Shame you're on PS3, wouldn't mind learning about this game with someone on the 360.

They make excellent coasters.

Didn't this used to be free... or was that a beta version you posted here a while back? (Or did I already buy it and have forgotten?) -

Looking good! Here's a video I just made. aw39LqC2seA I think there's something wrong with my video card. -
Gee. Buying stolen goods and then blogging about it... that sounds like a great idea!

But I don't own it on a PC... -
You get harassed on LucasForums for saying you don't like the SEs, it's quite irritating.

It's almost like the first game was sacrificed so that this one might live. (Or something.)

This has been a complaint of mine since the first episode of Season 1. It's quite annoying that they can't seem to get this right. I generally always have to turn down the background music in order to be able to hear what everyone is saying (haven't done it with Season 3 yet, though) -- which usually causes me no problems -- until a musical number suddenly erupts. Yes, the big central focus, everyone singing - choreography, animation, but I couldn't hear it because it was classified as "music" in the soundmix. Utterly retarded. Hint to TT: Musical numbers count as dialogue! In the Devil's Playhouse 1, lots of dialogue was just plain missing for me. No idea why. Not a word could be heard (unless it was REALLY low and I just didn't have my speakers turned up?).

Wow, very nice! Akira, right?

Yes, the Coens have some fantastic dialogue. If you enjoy rapid fire stuff, you should check out their worst film: Intolerable Cruelty - some great dialogue there, and it's an enjoyable watch. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang has some really great dialogue, too. Billy Wilder movies tend to have great dialogue, too (Double Indemnity, Sunset Blvd., etc.) Woody Allen is usually very reliable (Annie Hall, etc.), too. Toblix asked a very similar question for recommendations in the past... I wonder how he got on? Maybe he could recommend some others?

Thanks for the heads up Another good interview. Note Chris Remo: I'm guessing he probably said he uses a Moleskine sketchbook (the "type" used by van Gogh, Hemingway, Picasso, etc.), not moleskin(!).

I only got around to playing this now, and I think I can sum up my experience in one word: I was expecting more of the same, but with slightly better writing, maybe a stronger plot... but oh no, this was a total, full on progression. Fuck me. I'm not very far into it, but anyone who thinks they've played Sam & Max before should forget all that: This is something totally new and wonderful, and exactly what was needed to keep the franchise fresh and alive. In short: Exciting creative risks! That's precisely the way to move forward. I'm very excited. EVERYONE should give this a go. It's nothing like what you're expecting. They've really upped the ante here
