Yup, I also join the long line of TTG fans who already own every Sam & Max game only to be offered a "deal" to buy them all again for less than I originally paid for them. Not a great feeling, I must say.

For some Grand Theft Auto, right guys? Huh? huh?
-
It's all in that guide I linked to. (The answer is: Sometimes, sometimes not. Super 35, for example, is a 4:3 frame that is usually cropped to 1.85. I'm not 100% sure about "really wide" (i.e. 2.35), but I think the frame matched what you saw with that film.)

Cool. I was looking for another film podcast, I'll check it out.

Directs? Hmmm... "A Short Film Made From Red Dead Redemption is not a prequel – instead, director John Hillcoat was given free reign to use the world of Red Dead Redemption as his own personal film studio, manipulating characters, animals, sound and weather to create his own personal vision of the first chapter of Marston's story – his quest to capture Bill Williamson. By capturing gameplay footage and editing cutscenes, Hillcoat and editor Barry Alexander Brown were able to create a unique short film that deals with one specific slice of the game's story. (Confession - there are about two or three lines of dialogue we re-recorded for the piece, and a couple where we had to remove bad language. Otherwise it is 100% from the game.)" http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/5911/asked_&_answered_red_dead_redemption_multiplayer_dlc_hunting_and_more.article

Dude, there's so many mistakes in your post it made me cry ;___; For anyone interested in something more accurate, this is a great place to start: http://www.thedigitalbits.com/articles/anamorphic/aspectratios/widescreenorama.html

If you find one, let me know. I'm an insane film fan, especially at the moment. Maybe we could have our own little thread going. A GREAT podcast for film lovers is: The Hollywood Saloon. They are extremely thorough, and dissect movies to their fundamentals, whilst remaining very balanced. They're not all arty-farty (not that there's anything wrong with loving arty-farty movies) but they certainly appreciate good film -- and best of all, they have a great knack of making you love film even more, too. I'd suggest picking a topic from one of their older casts, rather than the more recent "Saloon Shots" episodes. They guys are at their best when they take their time and really get under the skin of subject. The shorter episodes are great, too, but more about them blowing off some steam on a particular subject. If you manage to find a non-pretentious movie forum, filled with love for film, then really do let me know.

I bet in the eyes of the owners of Family Guy you're a pirate I bet nobody here is really actually entitled to cast the first stone.

Wow. Birthpeel sounds especially gross. Congrats and Thanks! Thanks to everyone else, too. Also many late returns, Nappi!

I was trying to drum up some enthusiasm... and then Chris subtly revealed he wasn't coming. And then no-one else said they could make it. That turned the 'Big Thumb Outing' into two people... which was really something that could happen at any time. Sorry for getting your hopes up, but people don't really take it seriously until someone picking a date and sticking to it... As witnessed by the previous week's failed attempts. On top of that it's my birthday tomorrow and I'm travelling back up North for The weekend and I haven't packed yet. So it was silly of me to suggest it. Plus I Was working until nine. So epic failure all around. Sorry.
-
Sorry! I thought the whole thing was off because Chris couldn't make it. Only just checked into the forums now. Sorry! (I kind of have a ton of stuff to do tonight anyway -- and I've only just finished work. Bah.)

Oh dear. Probably want to edit that beginning bit, SG... And maybe you want to end that patronizing bit at the end of your message, Forbin. Inbetween the insults is an interesting discussion trying to get out. I think you're both right, really.
-
Hmm. Interested to see how this ends. They were found guilty of that CD/malware thing weren't they?
-
Which package did you see...? The bundle includes World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Lugaru and Penumbra Overture. And Samorost 2.
-
OMG, that creased me up.
-
@Nachimir: Holy crap, that was... amazing? Too much animal cruelty, but it says something that, by the end, I wasn't even slightly bothered by the fact that cars started exploding for no reason whatsoever.

Don't ask Toblix his (entirely valid) opinion.

It's pretty fantastically lame that we didn't actually get around to meeting a foreign Thumb who was in town. I think we should all be ashamed of ourselves. Thoroughly.
-
So errr.... Sorry to get this back on track, but which of the games are actually worth downloading? Are they all decent? I wouldn't want to add things to my backlog unnecessarily! (I already grabbed World of Goo.)
-
Hasn't this already been answered many times in this thread? Many people would have just seen a link on 4Chan and clicked on it. Many kids don't have access to credits cards/Paypal... and their parents probably don't see the value in buying them more games. And some would have simply downloaded the pack multiple times. Hell, wasn't Ben There Dan That torrented?!

Yes! It's Thursday night peeps! Come on!

I've only just noticed, after all this time, that your Location is a YouTube video link... So I'm posting it here to see what it is! Two minutes and 32 seconds in. PJYxCSXjhLI#t=2m32s Edit: Wow, that's an awesome noise.
