American movie? British? Dutch? Where is it set?
-
I feel fairly confident he didn't. I just took another look at it, and it just looks like it's lacking the "Jake" touch that was present on the Sam & Max DVDs. (*Hopes he's not wrong*)
-
I also got my deluxe TOMI DVD about a week and a half ago... and if my eyes aren't deceiving me, the box is totally lacking the magic touch of Jake Rodkin. It's just so very ugly, even the Purcell bits. The manual looked nice, though.

What a great, and often underrated series

Hmmm. Colour me sceptical. http://theappleblog.com/2010/07/02/apple-says-signal-strength-is-just-a-software-issue-but-is-it/

Lol. I checked Wikipedia, the markup is only slightly changed (the addition of a couple of new tags) and doesn't really do anything magical or Flash competing...? (Other than play video or audio, which don't require Flash at the moment either.) This is why I was hoping someone could put it in layman's terms. Have fun in your cabin!

Well a few people, like myself, wrote to call him on it and it was apparently done out of ignorance. He's since removed the offending images and replaced them. He claims he liked Jericho's artwork. There you go. -
Must you tantalize? Edit: I can't find anything. Can you explain further? It seems so hard just to get a boiled down version of the precise changes in HTML5, that doesn't get all excited about being able to add a video tag or get bogged down in endless specifics. Anyone know of a good, easy to read, breakdown of what HTML5 actually is capable of? And what it really means in a practical sense? Thanks.

What a guy! (Although why he chose to illustrate his article with grotesque imagery is questionable.) -
Wow, that was surprisingly effective!

Yep, and Flash offers exactly the same experience to all users, whereas HTML5 + Javascript is a complete pain in the ass to get working precisely as you like in all browsers. (Note: As I understand it, HTML5 isn't really anything without Javascript, it just adds more objects to the DOM that can be manipulated with things like Javascript. By itself, it's not special.)

Indeed, "5Nal Destination: More Finaler".

I've only done The Citadel (everything possible there) and Novaria (again, I think I've done everything possible), how far would you say I was through the game?
-
Really? Compared to decoding a video, I can't imagine it would add that much.
-
Just wait and see. I wouldn't want to spoil the surprise... *stares cryptically*

Interesting stuff. It makes me think of something I read on TechCrunch today: YouTube discusses Flash vs HTML5 (apparently HTML5 does not really compare to Flash at all - which means (at least to me) that Apple's decision to ban Flash was more about a power-struggle than "saving battery power"). It's interesting to see where everything is going. It's quite an exciting time! Also: Apple Is Looking For Eight Experienced Antenna Engineers Eep. Are they trying to fix the iPhone4 or just trying to make sure it doesn't happen again?

Oh. Well, it may have been a while ago, but I still sort of remember it. Of course, it's the terrible thing that happens to everyone just as you turn 28 that I remember the most.

Ghostbusters is very cheap. I'd pick it up if I didn't want to play it on the 360.
-
My first port of call is usually Ars Technica's guides, if that's any help?
-
Sounds like it's not that bad then Cool.
-
Like totally Toblix, dude! (Welcome to 27; you're old now!)
-
Ha. Awesome. I can't wait to play this. Have they fixed the bugs yet?

What did you make of Greenberg, Ben? It left a peculiar taste in my mouth. I can certainly understand some people hating it (and I did initially -- the guy was such a twat), but I ended up liking it a day later. I'm sure I'll be up for some Prince Charles at some point. That day was just a weird one for me, otherwise I probably would have joined you.
