ThunderPeel2001 replied to Action Shakespeare's topic in Multiplayer Networking
Maybe, just maybe! -
Hoo, baby! Excited for this Video: http://kotaku.com/5631002/a-tantalizing-session-with-the-witness-the-next-game-from-the-creator-of-braid Edit: Oops, it's the same video from RPS.

Didn't you just absolutely contradict yourself? Duke 3D was played years after its release, too. Anyways, Duke 3D was recognised as having great level design, an interesting universe, and being fun, not just having cheesy humour. Yes, it's nostalgia, just like with Monkey Island, but what's wrong with that?

Well after all my cynicism about Apps Oct finally found two I love. The first is a thing called Movie Finder. It gets all the showtimes for all the movies in your immediate area. A godsend in London where you can be 20 mins from at least five cinema at any one time. The other is a thing called TripIt. You forward your confirmation email from any travel plans you have and it puts all the useful information in an easy to read format that you can access on your phone. Both are PERFECT for me. Very pleased

The Secret in their Eyes
-
Because they're getting all this free publicity?
-
As previously stated, it reads Word documents and PDFs, apparently.
-
Someone should make a list.

What's with this new "real" Guitar thingie?
-
Good stuff! Wow.
-
Does it really look like paper?

Is anybody a sad human like me, and have not played any LucasArts adventure games?

I don't think anyone will pay them to make new games, as much as they'd like to be making them -
Where did you hear that?
-
Well it definitely starts getting sketchier after the first seven. Not sure exactly when it lost its way, but I know some people swear it's great, even now.

I respectfully disagree. -

Revolution's games are wonderfully solid in a way I can't think other adventure games are, plus they have a wonderful sense of humour that's a lot less "zany" and more part of the story than LucasArts. They're mature, without being pretentious. Funny, without sacrificing character or story. Logical without being "heavy". LucasArt's attempt at something as mature as Revolution (The Dig) was just overly serious and turgid. I can't think of another adventure game that's managed to be as fantastical, and mature AND funny as Revolution's. -
Just been getting some life-priorities straightened out. Good stuff, so far. Good plan

Ooh. That's quite exciting. Finally this could be an excellent way of learning guitar. Wow. As for the track list, I always find that it's the songs I know the least that I end up enjoying playing the most... so hopefully that'll be the same here.

Yep. You can transfer whatever you want through USB, apparently. Sure does look good!

Ahhh, nostalgia! IO5bTdbXZAw

How about some more memorable scenes? There were a lot of ultra-violent exploitation flicks.

The specs read like this: 50% better contrast (looks even more like real paper). You can read in bright sunlight. Lighter than before. 20% faster page loads. Holds 3500 books. Can be used for a month without charging(!). Includes wifi. Reads PDFs and Word documents. Can be used to surf the net (basic browser). On top of all this, it's the cheapest Kindle they've ever made: Only $139 It all seems pretty nifty, to me. Also: If you get the more expensive 3G + wifi version, you get completely free 3G access in 100 different countries. (I don't think I'd ever use it, but it's a nice feature!)
