Did nobody watch the trailer from his latest film I posted at the top of this thread? I'm keen to hear opinions on it. He's currently in the news complaining that it's not getting the attention it deserves.

I totally appreciate Tanukitsune's frustrations. It seems to me that somewhere during this discussion his irritation with lazy blogs has been twisted into him supposedly hating the guy who made the sprites. I don't think that's the case, afterall: Lazy blogs who make "news" of nothing, and just copy each other, ARE annoying. Whether you consider the creation of 200 sprites to be newsworthy is really where this discussion should be at, not attacking Tanukitsune, IMHO. Either that, or just encouraging/discouraging Mr. T to make more sprites.

Immersion wise, they do suck, but you get used to them. Also, I'd forgotten how big this game is... It's taken many many hours to get 55% through the game. Also, I really don't remember the hospital bit, which is odd, but the graphics and sound suggest that it's always been there.

You can't... ugly as it is, but that's really a good thing. Pixel hunting has never been a good or enjoyable aspect of adventure games. The puzzles are still as difficult.

Yep, Broken Sword 2 actually got equal or better reviews, as I remember. I seems to recall one review basically saying, they took all the good stuff from the first game and made it better. I certainly enjoyed it. I think Metacritic isn't great for older games. I'm not sure they include reviews from the bigger magazines of the time?

Say what!? Is there some GTA V news? As for the characters, I don't think anyone could make it so that the lead was not, technically, a sociopath... Unless we wanted them to break down after EVERY mission going... "What have I done?!". I think that would get tedious really fast. I'm more concerned that Dan Houser might be writing all the dialogue and story. By now I can see every one of his twists coming a mile away, and although he's good with characters (giving them a voice), he's just no good at exploring themes. He did a good enough job for GTA and RDR, and he's not terrible, he's just not brilliant... and there's no reason why these games shouldn't have Oscar worthy scripts.

That's cool. I started looking through the episode list for Season 5, and while I definitely remembered most of the shows, it was only really the Barber Shop Quartet that REALLY stuck out. I did enjoy Cape Feare, though. Which episodes are good in Season 5 do you think, so far? I'm really quite interested in all this -- I've even asked about it before.

I'm quite interested in hearing how this progresses, SG... I seem to remember the show really starting to slide, but I could never remember when it happened. It's interesting that you're noting a change as early as Season 5. Conan O'Brien left the writing team halfway through, apparently, but I imagine that would have affected the latter half of it, if affected it at all. Interestingly, according to Wikipedia, "Cape Feare" was the last episode made by the "original team". Everyone started to leave at the beginning of Season 5.
