Well, Green Hornet sure looks AWFUL from the trailers... I'm not sure if I can bring myself to give it a shot. Anyone here thinks the trailers look HORRENDOUS who thought the final movie was good? I just saw Blue Valentine. Wonderful movie about a relationship falling to pieces. A real treat for the actors, no doubt, but also really good to watch. Sad. Also saw 127 Hours. Loved it, too! Great film. Highly recommended. For those who have already seen it, here's a REAL photo of the real Aron Ralston. Yes, taken while he was REALLY ACTUALLY there. (Yes, it looks just like the movie. Wow.)

I decided to play 1 player and found something I'd never seen before: A weird, flaming cage with a mini zombie spinning around in it. It was apparently some kind of spawn point. Anyone seen that before? -
Holy crap, they made a book of this stuff:

Yes. Far. Too. Much. Time. Also, it might have been interesting to see it at night.

The quality of the footage is now the same for all old and new, plus they brought back the original actors to record ADR so you can actually hear what they're saying. The special effects from both the original footage and new footage have NOT been re-composited, though. Which is a shame, but I guess it was far too expensive (or maybe they don't have the original footage any more?). Alien3 was one of the last films to use traditional compositing... if they'd been a year later (few months later?) they would have used computer compositing, which I assume would have allowed them to remove all that green tint with ease. Still, the new Alien 3 Special Edition, with presentation on par with the original Alien 3, is a hugely enjoyable film. Sure, there's issues with their decisions, but now the pros outweigh the cons (just about).

Ah. I'd never seen that technology before.

Well I'd agree with you that it seems absurd... but his eyelids!

Doesn't surprise me, it was extremely well shot for a "home" movie. (You shot coverage? Come on!). Weird stuff though, and otherwise extremely well done!

I totally concur, hence my surprise at what the fellow was saying. He was also especially looking forward to LA Noir. Ironic given I tore it into little clichéd pieces when the first trailer was released. (Hey, I hope I'm wrong, though!) It seems nobody agrees with that he said... However, I am amazed and interested that he gets so much from games, and so little (by comparison) from films.

No! I was arguing it from the chap's point of view. I, of course, disagree whole-heartedly. I guess my post wasn't very clear.

This is wonderful! Reminds me a lot of Peanuts

*slaps forehead* Oh well, maybe I can make it then. Lol.

Confused. You do know we're agreeing, right?

The "Special Edition" of Aliens 3 on the new Alien Anthology set is really rather good. Fact!

It still falls into the category of a film... and no film has reached the storytelling peaks of games in the last five years... or so he argued. So, anomaly or not, he still maintained his statement. Also: Wasn't it just an incredible film? I honestly believe it was the Citizen Kane of our time... Totally remaking the craft of cinema. My eyes were bulging at times, "You can't do that!", but the director did, and with aplomb.

I was watching Tron Legacy and, for those who don't know, only certain parts of the film were in 3D... Interestingly I discovered while watching it that I couldn't tell -- so little was the impact of "3D". I never went "Wow, this looks suddenly awesome! Why? Oh, yeah, it's 3D!". I literally had to stop myself and go... is this bit in 3D? I can't tell. That said, Avatar looked great in 3D IMAX.

Totally agree. I'd like an e-reader that had perfect e-ink over having Firefox installed (I'd only get distracted for one thing, lol).
