  1. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood

Ah! It's true. I can't unsee it! That's very cool. I'd heard something along these lines, but it's nice to see it laid out like this. It certainly does look like a recipe for disaster when you put it like that, lol!
  2. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

That's pretty nifty, but he's just added a bunch of random notes to create cool images... Those notes kind of spoil the song a little. Lol. I wonder if folks are thinking this was all "hidden" in the original song?
  3. Save My Sanity

Your onboard soundcard shouldn't really be switched on if you've got an independent one. If you don't have an independent one, getting one might help (presumably your CPU is getting overwhelmed -- that is presuming that you are using the latest drivers, right?)
  4. Movie/TV recommendations

I seem to remember you marking it as "fair"
  5. Save My Sanity

Must be annoying. Hmm. Latest soundcard drivers?
  6. New people: Read this, say hi.

    BURN THE HERETIC!
  7. Movie/TV recommendations

    It is very good!
  8. Happy Birthday!

    Happy O!
  9. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

Two UCB videos in one go... ?
  10. Obligatory comical YouTube thread

The idea is to stop people on public assistance from spending their money on drugs. However, it's a flawed solution, that's punishing the innocent for the sins of the few.
  11. Books, books, books...

A BOOK RECOMMENDATION IN THE "BOOKS" THREAD!!! *shakes fist in frustration*
  12. Comment on the Fresh Indie Games Compendium

That's actually the name of the game (more or less).
  13. Japan

The BBC news coverage of the Japan incident has been some of the worst I've ever seen on their site. Thankfully they seem to have calmed down a bit now.
  14. Movie/TV recommendations

Let me just say (as someone whose seen it) the slang is pretty heavy. Even for a British person. This is a portrayal of a particular subset of England. The simple solution is for a distributor to buy it for the US market, and then do a few test screenings and see if folk can understand what's being said. If they can't then they could re-dub it with slightly less slang (still keeping it British, obviously). I'm not totally sure that subtitles would help in this instance, if you ask me. Here's the trailer: cD0gm7dHKKc
  15. Maximum disappointment confirmed - Prey gets a sequel

I enhanced the image. Here are the results...
  16. Movie/TV recommendations

I'm not even sure my friend would agree with you that it was well-directed or had flashes of cool/funny/scary -- I seem to remember fire in his eyes and the words "utter shite characters!". But maybe that was just my impression. The film was flawed, no doubt, but the positives outweighed the negatives for me. Well directed, funny, scary, loved the social message. A sweet little gem that I'd put it on par with something like Rare Exports. Very good in my books!
  17. Japan

    That's a better fix.

  19. Japan

    Fixed.
  20. The difference is that those who don't own/haven't played the game are more likely to get involved in the RCVG thread, at least that's what I imagine. The RCVG thread is also a stream of mini-reviews, much like the TV/Movie thread. That's my 2c on the matter, at least.
  21. Maximum disappointment confirmed - Prey gets a sequel

[Trailer] (Apart from the very ending.) Charlie is an asshole, (and that's the quietest plane I've ever heard, lol).
  22. Yes, I think the problem is that by resurrecting old threads, you're less likely to open a discussion. But I do agree that if something is going to go on for some time, that it makes more sense to do it in the original topic. Toblix makes a reasonable point though. Hmm.
  23. Recently completed video games

Yeah, Deadline and Pacifism are great fun. I did love Sequence too, though. That damned treaty achievement, though... Ugh!
