Aaah... I'm falling into a bankrupt culture of greed!

I agree they've made it subtle, but it's there.

Wow

If the song was just a cover version of Rebecca Black with the word "Friday" replaced by "Sunday", it wouldn't be a parody. That said, it's not a pisstake of the Christianity, either. It's a deliberately OTT pisstake of a view of Christianity. Did you watch the other video I posted? Again, it's a pisstake of an impression of Christianity... made by church with a sense of humour. Also, like the movie Dogma (written and directed by a staunch Catholic) or Easy A (also written by a staunch Christian). Like I asked before; Did you read the cards at the opening of the video? They give you a big hint that it's a joke. I'm mean, for crying out loud, one of them reads: "Worship Practice"! It's not like I'm offended because I'm a Christian. I'm an atheist. It's just the joke seems to have gone over everyone's head, and the lampoon is being taken as evidence of something. It's like posting Spinal Tap and people making comments about how it proves that all rock musicians are idiots. It's just plain weird.

The greatest headlines in the world (and other weird news stories)

There's a Zeppelin? Wow! (I hope those letters aren't written in fire or anything....) -
Didn't anyone else notice the descriptions on the pad at the beginning on the video? How about the word PARODY in the title? What about on their site where they say: "We take comedy seriously, so take this opportunity to laugh along with us and use the video to invite your friends to church." The Church is real, but the video is a PISSTAKE. Really, I'm a little disappointed in my fellow Thumbs for not getting the joke. Take the following video: DvMhXh1xH8E

This was a joke, guys.

Very true. I personally thought the transition was unnecessary though (and the story itself so... meh). The Shepherd's Tale was actually an interesting part of the mythology (imagine it being played out over a season or two... *sigh*). There's also: Better Days. And the one shots: Downtime, Float-Out and The Other Half, for those desperate for more.

Ha! I spotted this years ago, I didn't realise it had a "name". The way I see it is this: We're constantly bombarded with information, we just ignore the stuff we don't understand/recognize. Once we understand/recognize it we suddenly stop ignoring it. (Which I see this article subscribes too.)

Awesome! Edit: Woah, North moved. Also, how do I see the cave system? Or the Netherworld? -
Lol. It's true, yours is particularly out of date. I imagine your DS quite worn by the amount of love it must have received by now!
-
Another lose end has finally been tied up, too: The Shepherd's Tale. Also: Welcome to the internet.

This wasn't a cultural thing, ultramarine was the most expensive dye and so was associated with royalty. When we managed to make ultramarine paint artificially (and cheaply) it lost its special standing.

That only proves how adults behave, not how a child would behave free from such external influence.

Yeah, those worked. I could never get past those (a lot of them I still can't). Yes, it was very clever, but... Johnny Carson was not Ed McMahon's sidekick!
-
True. But what comes first: Does the advert appeal to nature, or have people been programmed to respond to roles? Interesting discussion. (As a boy, I can say that the male keywords tapped/tap into a part of me... but I couldn't say if that would still be true if I'd grown up in a world with different ideas of what a "man" was.)

Wow, that's awesome.

Yes! That's precisely what I'm complaining about! Sorry, but, you know. Irony. I open the chest with my mouse. I sort through things with my mouse. I neatly stockpile with my mouse. I divide things with my mouse. I move things into my inventory with my mouse... I then I have to press a key to close the damn thing. -
So, let me ask you: Are they thinking of their customers when they don't ask them to confirm their password before a sale, or are they thinking of their bottom line? Because asking a user to verify their password before a sale would solve this problem easily.

 As for them being the "most ethical company"... that's like saying they're the least smelly pile of dung. (Did you miss my point above your post?)

Dear Notch, please, for the love of god, let me close chests and crafting screens with a mouse click! -
Part of this would be easily solved by asking the user to enter their password whenever they bought something, but that would also mean their sales would take a hit...
